If you gave this current Forrest team to the Forrest Middle staff- Morgan, Daughrity (keep him from the hs staff), Johnson & Russell (no particular order), they'd have beaten Marion, probably still lost to Cascade, Moore, and that healthier Loretto team, and beaten Richland. They'd be 5-3 overall and 2-2 in region as opposed to the 3-5 and 1-3 they are now. They'd likely have the 3 or 4 seed in the postseason. Could they have beaten Loretto and hung with Cascade? I’m not a “feels like ‘98” sorta guy but this sure looks and feels a whole pile better that 2020 for sure. And it’s thanks to the staff but also the players that didn’t dart for the portal.
