Sonny does a good job.  Like anything else it gets more accurate as the season progresses.  

In all honesty,  I can't see Fayetteville being a top ten team in the state.  That's not knocking the Tigers by any means. It's just that 1A can't realistically match up with the best &  bigger schools for 4 quarters.

And yes, I believe Alcoee is ranked too low in his ratings.  

He also has CPA ranked high with 4-4 record. But those cats play a tremendous schedule.  Even beat Oakland. 

To add, I can't remember a 1A team rated this high (top 10) in Sonny's ratings. Peabody a few years back got close I believe.

Agreed. I could realistically see FC somewhere in the mid 20’s rankings. But they’re not able to play a complete game with anyone in the top 15. Jus my opinion. But based on their resume so far i do think they deserve their current #1 ranking in the state poll. On a side note that Ezell Harding team in 2001 stole a State Championship from an unbelievable Cloudland team that year. Hate it for those Roan Mtn kids getting all the way to Cookeville only to face a loaded Private School. Placing them in their own Division in the Playoffs was one thing the TSSAA got right.

Nashville Christian 2015 was unbelievable too.

I'd take all that rating stuff with a grain of salt as I'm sure you do.

There's other factors at work in those ratings.  The year in question could have a boatload of great teams.  Also TC schedule that year could & does affect these.

Lots to consider.
