Thanks Harley,we'll have to play at a HIGH level and avoid mistakes if we are even gonna keep it close. They are coached extremely well and play well in all phases of the game. Thats a tough combination. If it don't kill us ,it should make us better.

The most points scored on Boone all year.  Even Science Hill and Elizabethton couldn't put up 20. I like Hamptons chances in the playoffs.

I know nothing about Boone, this could be your year and edge out West. If your on pickums probably want pick you but will be pulling for you. Sometimes teams come out of no where and have there greatest year. been picking games on here 15 or 16 years a team can't remember name few years back I picked against all the way to state and they won state.:mrgreen:

Probably Livingston Academy. Smart people will pick Boone, guess that tells you about how sharp I am.lol

I know full well its an uphill battle but doubt thee 44 to 8 deal. Hope we can at least get their attention.

I think Boone COULD beat Hampton by that much, but won't. As soon as Boone gets a 3 TD lead so far this year the coach has called off the dogs. Even in that crazy Cherokee game starters were out before half and Boone had 3rd stringers still scoring TDs. But the rest of the games once there is a big enough lead he's been keeping it on the ground, avoiding turnovers, eating the clock and trying to keep starters healthy.

I had posted a reply to a post I heard you made about a Hampton man (me I assume) who had kids with his sister. Figure I kinda lowered my standards by doing so, so I edited.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
