McKenzie and Fayetteville were clearly the class of 1A this season. Those two teams are a different level from everyone else.

Peabody should have won last week. They beat up MASE up front last week. It would have been a lot more competitive game had it been at Peabody. But woulda, coulda, shoulda doesn't matter. Congrats to McKenzie. They should bring the gold ball back next week to west tn.

Peabody was not on the level of Fayetteville or McKenzie this year. They have had great teams the past few years but honestly they had an easy playoff schedule until they ran into MASE

Then everybody else is kind of what I was thinking.

I am not saying they would have won, clearly McKenzie and Fayetteville are the class of 1a this year, but with their experience it would not have been a running clock. Congratulations to McKenzie, bring the gold ball back to West Tennessee.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
