They have coaches that coach year round because they're paid to do so. Every other club coach I have ever known in my entire life has done it as a volunteer.

Cleveland coaches get paid to be there by their "anonymous donor".

They have more money coming in than any other program in the state. Bar none. This isn't a secret. If other programs had this type of money being "donated" they'd be able to build the same successful programs.

Now, this isn't to take away from the quality of coaches they've brought in. Bosken and Knox are both a needle in a haystack finds. But come on guys, call it what it is.

Hey, you that knows more than I think you do. One HCWC coach gets paid year round, Period. Yes, Cleveland has coaches that coach year round just like Summit. Pete does a great job keeping his team active all year round. And it is "anonymous donors" get it right.

Just for you, regarding your statement about Cleveland coaches getting paid year round to coach. So what does it matter if they are paid or volunteer. Are you saying a volunteer is of lesser value?  Summit has coaches that coach year round, Head Coach Pete Miller and others. I do not know if they are paid or not for this extra time.  I do know Higher Calling Wrestling Club Inc. pays one coach year round. So don't act like other programs don't coach year round. There are at Fargo, Pre-season nationals, and Super 32  just like Cleveland. Also, Cleveland has numerous anonymous donors, not just one. But then again to quote you "I know more than you think I know", but really you think you know more than you really know.

And I did not assume or say you were associated with Summit, I would not in any way, shape or form put that on them.

I can assure you Pete is not paid year round. We make sure he is taken care of when we travel.

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
