MBA beat Summit Tuesday night.  And finished ahead of Summit in the Ryan Tournament.

Yeahhh looking at the box score. It wasnt near the same lineup they had for FR.

This point in the season, against a team they wouldnt see in the post season. Its clear the dual didnt really mean a whole lot.

Unless you're suggesting MBA has a better team than Father Ryan?

Why is anyone crying about starters being out of the lineup or where they are ranked at this time of the year?  The only time anyone should care about rankings is the last rankings of the season and unless you win a state championship you lost and the difference between 2nd and 8th really doesn’t matter.  Unless a team is extremely fortunate they will all have to deal with injuries throughout the season.

Bradley is gonna get a couple more shots at cleveland this year. This was supposed to have been then year that they would beat them. If it doesn’t happen this year it won’t happen again for at least 5 years and that’s being modest. The atmosphere last night was nuts.

Agreed on the atmosphere.  Just amazing for a high school match. Bradley may be able to flip 220 and HWT but those are probably the only ones.  One issue is that Bradley’s 3 hammers typically get them 18 points against most teams but against Cleveland they only got 11 last night.  Barring  Cleveland injuries, everything would have to go perfect for Bradley to get the upset … but that’s why they wrestle the matches.

No.  They may well be though, we'll know at the state tournament.  Ryan was missing 3-4 starters against Summit.  Summit may have been missing some too.  Just pointing out the absurdity of pre tournament rankings.  Makes for interesting board banter, but it will all shake out at state.

195 could easily gone the other way too and could be flipped, based on what I watched.

    • The golf preseason came to a close Friday at Indian Hills as the I-24 Invitational hosted by Rockvale was contested. Webb School won the title by 13 shots 295-308 over Rockvale. Rockvale girls won the title by five shots over Providence  Christian 155-`160 after the Lions won the 1913 Invitational at Johnson City by 10 shots over Greeneville. The course was wet and muddy in the morning but the rain finally broke and some good scores were had. The Webb School boys had Phet Phothong score a 69 while Carter  Burks shot 70 following up his 72 in Johnson City on Monday. The girls had Solia Mechling of Rockvale lead the way with a 73 in taking the title as they improved their score by 30 shots over Monday in East Tennessee as they found the homestead Indian Hills to their liking.  Rockvale and Central Magnet will head to the Battle of Hermitage on Wednesday July 31st. On Tuesday Stewarts Creek and Smyrna will do battle at Smyrna Golf Course  with an early tee time of 11 AM. The next day Oakland, Webb and Nolensville will tee off at Champions Run beginning at 9 AM. Eagleville will open on July 29th heading to Lawrenceburg and the Country Club awaiting host Lawrence County and several other teams to tee up the regular season. The season will end in October at Sevierville when state champions will be crowned.
