5A Region 7

Beech scrimmages Wilson Central tomorrow night at Beech. I’m not putting too much into it though, as Beech has a lot of new pieces that are still getting used to Beech Football and learning the system. Lots of new faces will take the field this year. Will still be a good judge of where they are physically.

Wilson Central is no bueno, y’all should feast. There is no point in playing the humble role eers lol Crabtree always finds a way to get it done. On top of the transfer Qb, I don’t see Beech having any issues being a good team once again this year

Lol. I think they will be fine, but there are a lot new faces in the lineup. Along with the QB and a couple other transfers, there will be a lot of new starters, there were quite a few seniors on last years team… AND WC always plays us tough. As is typical with nearly every Crabtree coached team, they will be a tough out for anyone on the schedule, but there will be some bumps and bruises to get there. I expect Beech to be toward the top of this region year in and year out, but the early part of this year will have its challenges. Will be interesting to see what this team can do once they have some time together.

This is program is established and has a club team (Stars) feeding it with wrestlers.    Siegel High School is looking for an assistant coach. Again, this program is growing with talent every year. This past year we had 2 state placers.    If interested you can send an email to starstnwrestlingclub@gmail.com or freemand@rcschools.net

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
