But just read the comments and watch every Game this year and tell me where I’m wrong?!!! It’s NOT being a Hater it’s telling it like it is! I’ve said it since Day one and I’ll say it real SLOW for you so you can hear it!!! South Pittsburg is the only Team that can BEAT South Pittsburg!!  Give Gordonsville back to back to back 15 yard penalties and see what happens!! I’ll say this again real slow for you! This Team is very very talented but if they don’t get it together they will get Beat!! But it will be their own fault! If they stop the Bleeding they will be in Chattanooga!

I know Wilson and Vic very well, if you think dem teams walked a straight line all da time you are sorely mistaken. 5 players tossed out of a game halfway through da regular season in a bench clearin fight and won a ring. False starts constantly In 2011 and made it to the title. Deez are kids. Emotions run high. Testosterone pumps. Is dat an excuse for fighting? No, But you seeing way more “fighting” Dan anyone else patna

Because your head coach at the time reached out to make it happen. Lots of consistently good schools are always needing opponents, just if your HC wants to try and schedule them or not.    V

I don't care who we schedule.  Just win Baby. I think we've done pretty good for ourselves stepping up in class and even stepping outta State.    Dade GA,  Bell Co KY,  Murphy NC,  NJ AL.

Lol….I watched some film… very very disciplined. Y’all got a very good team and might control the clock the whole game.

I’ve never seen a private school that wasn’t disciplined. They always are disciplined teams. This team won’t be any different. That all goes with the territory of private school kids that are paying a tuition. Comparing public and private is apples and oranges. As for Pitt. I just always try to trust the process. We had the better team last week and won 62-0. I’m glad we didn’t lose 62-0.

You lost me there. This team reminds me of a Phil Beene Coached team. I might go as far far to say their Offense is very similar to the single wing as far as their blocking schemes. Their guards do a good job of pulling and they run alot of misdirection.They grind it out happy with a 4 yd gain. They suck you in then either bust a long run or throw it over the top. They have very good OL.They will  eat a lot of clock. They don’t throw much but are pretty good at it. The only advantage I see is we might have a little more speed. Their defense is legit too. This will be a big test for our guys.

I don't believe Gordonsville, if we even match up with them in the playoffs,will be a problem.Sequachie County is a much better team than Gordonsville is this season.The West has several teams that can beat us if we make mistakes or not.We will have to play a near perfect game to walk out of Finley with another Gold ball this year.As Roy would say...You think I'm Joking but I'm Not!

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
