I agree.Not just looking at records.And I wouldn't drop LC much later with a loss to unbeaten JCS and a very good Union City team.Doubt many teams after top 7 would beat these 2 teams.But overall a good poll

I haven't looked around too much, but may not be many, if any, 1A schools play as tough a schedule as Lake has this year.

Moore County is loaded too. I wouldn’t count our Union City either. Didn’t Dresden barely beat them Friday?

I would add McKenzie to the list.  Just because they beat Huntingdon.  I know they were drubbed by Dresden but sometimes teams have a huge letdown after a big win.

They could actually host the semifinals.  If they could go into Lynchburg and pull the upset. 

Yes McKenzie would be my dark horse. They are well coached and have been there the last two years. They have some experience the others don't. I just think the other 4 are the front runners at this point.

Dresden and UC are interchangeable.  The only reason Dresden won was because we had the ball last (and a decent kicker). If there was 2 min left in the game UC could have easily won the game. I wouldn't say either team is better than the other. We just got the win on that particular night.
