How does a starting QB affect a power running team. And did anyone mention York can throw?

I think I’d rethink that post YAIDAD. As a York fan I’m certain you know the importance of Leffew to your offense considering I’m guessing 80% or more of your offensive production is by him. I’d wager if he wasn’t there and the backup was in this year YAI is a 3 or 4 loss regular season team. Y’all are obviously dominating this one but the QB can absolutely impact a power running team. Not saying it would’ve changed the outcome at all so don’t take it that way but it definitely changes things.

York’s backup is their starting TB(Miller). The 3rd string is the starting wing back (Drake). The backup actually is a better passer than Leffew. Next year they will put Drake at QB I think and let Miller play TB. But I’m not sure they miss a beat with Miller in game. He played the entire second half vs Grace and did very well. I doubt they lose a game to be honest. Their offense isn’t built around 1 guy and it’s very easy to learn.

York doesn’t really impress me much which Hampton hasn’t been much of a measuring stick tonight. Don’t get me wrong York plays good football but if you can contain the ends and pressure the qb on pass plays and have a stout front line on Defense you got ‘‘em beat good luck for the next one!

This might the worst post of the year.

Plug and play huh? Guess I was wrong, I thought Leffew was a stud but seems maybe he’s nothing special (joking of course). As for the 2 and 3 guys in that ole sangle wang that’s the idea, find your best RB’s and call them QB’s and pray you don’t have to win anything in the air. Watched it work very well here in MS for years.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
