You'll be impressed with 25 from Riverside, probably not as fast but more powerful. He,s a stud and he's battle tested. Hard to spot a weakness in Riverside, well balanced on both sides of the ball and extremely well coached.

If they have a weakness (not weak, just not as tight as everything else) in would be that the secondary is suspect for short passes to the middle of the field. Their DB's give a sizeable cushion on the LOS, especially the slot...problem for opponents is that they generally don't give the QB much time to check for open receivers, their DB's are ball hawks, and they'll pop you when you catch it. I'm guessing that it's a conscious decision to prevent receivers from getting behind the coverage...6-12 yard passes won't kill you like an occasional 60 yard catch and run. Huntingdon had some success throwing those routes, but couldn't sustain drives (or wouldn't commit) more than 30 yards with it.

I think ER will have the same problem especially with the slant. They’ll be committed to stopping the run and I think it’ll open up opportunities across the middle for Riverside. Their QB can is pretty good at that from what little I have seen. It will be interesting how ER’s DC schemes for that.

Ain't no way he got that first down.  The announcers know it (though they'd NEVER admit it.  We all know it.  He got zero yardage.   The referees gave the dam game away just now.  Replay shows.  He lost a few inches.  That really lousy officiating.  Actually, its down right crooked.  A grown man out there giving SP the spot just because he wants them to win.  Sickening.

Went and watch the Johny Frost show. Coach Frost seems a like a great guy, so does Desmond Thomas and the young man on the far right. The young man sitting between Thomas and the other guy was pretty confident in Riverside. Said he would “tear groves head off.” Coach Frost said ER was the best team they would see all year and Thomas and other expressions didn’t agree with the take. Looking towards to this game big time

    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
    • I personally will not mind that one bit.  It seems like a really strange fit to me from the git go.
