Something needs to be done during the off season to get this right. But as usual T$$AA doesn’t care. I mean we are in the “Cow Palace”

I know I know this is another one of those tired arguments. Might as well bring it up now than later.

But the TSSAA needs to be held accountable.

yes it absolutely matters. the head and shoulders second best team is getting screwed out of a state finals appearance. those kids deserve that spotlight. but because T$$AA is a joke they won’t get it.

They won a 1 point dual in the region didn't they?

Is division mentioned in the criteria? Since head to head isn’t why couldn’t Halls have been 1 and Cleveland 2?

if you want to be absolutely technical Halls won theirs before Cleveland did.

Not the 5 before that.

But valid point

See you guys are thinking about this all wrong. I see it as a great opportunity for Summit to beat Cleveland. Then Brentwood also has a shot to do it! You don’t win at least you had a shot.

Exactly!!!!! Just 1-2 matches go the other way

I am assuming it was because we won the state in the division last year. Since Hall’s moved into the division we were already in, we got the one seed. Also might have been because we won the previous 5 and Halls was only a champ last year. I don’t know, either way, they definitely don’t seem to have a system in place that is good for accurately seeding the tournament.

If Halls was seated number one this year, the exact same people would be writing the exact same thing about the TSSAA.

It is pretty unbelievable the premier wrestling events in our state are not in McKenzie Arena on the campus of the only D1 Wrestling program in our state.

Yeah.

it’s due to renting the facility and whatnot. Cow Palace is free. They make total profit. Little to no overhead

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
