Bearden’s Next HC

Recommended Posts

Someone more in tune with the transfer rules will hopefully shed more light to this, but without the one time transfer in place, would the kids have to go back to their zoned school? If true, this will definitely change the outlook for schools like Fulton, Central, and, most notably, AE. If the rule gets passed before they transfer then they could go anywhere right? At least that's how I understand it. The future outlook for Knox recruiting will seemingly be dominated by West and Powell with Bearden now out of the mix I would assume.

Most of those kids played for the RR's youth league program anyway.  So you are correct, and I hope you're right when you said, "I got a feeling of where they will start to go". I hope you're right but they love seeing that one particular school down instead of helping them get back to being the best in the KCS and the state

I don’t think your school will get them all. They will get some, but I think your rival(s) will get their fair share

No we're not getting any but would love to have them.  However, I do see the rival getting the most of them because that's where most are zoned.

I am sure the only sigh of relief for Fairygut and Hardon Valley is that they don'thave to play a team recruited by Casino Junkie Jones. I don't think he was making a living off recruiting from those schools.

I'd think the ones that are relieved are all the inner city Knoxville schools and the schools that had sent kids to his middle school all star tryouts. I talked to someone that has paid attention to his middle school all star team(aka his recruiting ground) and they said it has totally went downhill since he became a high school coach. They said his teams used to dominate the all star game but have been beaten every year since he became a high school coach.

I had a Hardin Valley coach tell me that they had a freshman that they thought was going to be pretty good, only to see him show up at school wearing a Bearden Jersey....

I have no basis for this questions so I need people in the know at Bearden to shed some light to this, but would the DC that left to be the HC at Central get any consideration to go back to Bearden as the next HC? I don't know if he would have any interest but it could be a way to keep some of the transfers and hire someone that technically wasn't on staff this year.

That's yet to be determined.

The state legislature will have a big part in determining exactly how the one-time transfer rule is worded.

And my opinion is that there won't be restrictions, given that the entire idea of the pending legislation is to allow parents to have choice in where their kids go to school.  The T$$AA putting additional restrictions on them would lead to lawsuits that the T$$AA couldn't win, and doesn't have the money to fight in court, anyway.
