Both of these teams had strange seasons last year with alot of up and down play. I never could figure out how Franklin blew Blackman away 31-0 and then Blackman turns around and dominates the next week...I guess thats's HS football.

After having seen LC last night I don't think you will see that type of up and down this year. They have a ton of good athletes and I don't say that lightly! If Blackman plays like they did against Franklin last year against LC the score will be 63-0. If they play well for a first game it could be 38-21. If they play out of their heads 24-21...LC

BigDogDaddy,

Your pretty much right. Talentwise you guys should have a big advantage! We lost all the superstars to graduation, plus our #s are down thanks to the addition of Siegal the new school in the 'Boro. We might as well stay home next week and forfiet! No wait a minute! Let's think about this a second. I just watched the MBA game and alot of people didn't give them much of a chance either! I think we'll go ahead and show up b/c these kids seem to play hard and have alot of heart. Maybe you guys will feel sorry for us and let us win. Your right if we play anything at all like we did at Franklin last year it won't be pretty, but what if we play like we did when you guys came down to our place! You guys are pretty much the same team as last year as far as starters go and we are pretty much a brand new team! The presure is all on you guys, your the ones being proclaimed contenders. If we win we pulled off a great upset, but if you lose it's back to same old LC. I can't wait to see how ya'll choose to handle it! See ya'll at the game! GO BLAZE! I'm with ya all the way!

Your Old Buddy,

Hey Slim,

I ain't from Lincoln County. I'm from Franklin. I wasn't trying to disrespect your Blaze. What I was tring to convey to Blackman fans is that LC has a scoring machine. They have real athletes with their size, they are not Tarzans that play like Jane ...They are Tarzans! #74 and #72 are good athletes for their large size. The LB/FB #42 is a punisher. The Bryson bros. #4 and #5 covered Murray and Nichols like gloves, short and long. Their running back #28,while he doesn't need much skill because his line creates huge holes, likes to run over people. They had another good linebacker in #6.

Notice I haven't even begun to discuss #12 yet, lets just say he deserves his hype!

But since you got your panties in a wad, I'll just leave it at this...

Hey guys, now everyone knows I am a die hard Blackman fan!!!

First of all I will talk about this so called "home field advantage". That doesnt mean a thing. All of our team has played at the "Pit". So it wont be a factor.

Im pretty sure the falcons have great talent. Probably better than our, now in the season at least, but we have some stars as well. Kenny will set the tone of our offense.

Defensivly is prob. where Lincoln Coutny has the greatest edge. I know we can stop the run, but can we stop the pass? Linebackers should dominate.

All in all, i will not surprised if the Blaze pull of the "upset". As the game wears on our defense will get stronger, and it will prob. come down to a field goal.

i hope u are speaking loud about stopping the run...it will be very hard stopping the run game that LC is bringing to the table...

LC can balance on offense and cause some major problems for defenses...

I will give u an invitation to the pit early this week.....

If LC get back to the basics this week and continue to improve they should

play well against blackman...

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
    • It seems we lost a ton to graduation. We shall see how it shapes up for 2024.
