I'm glad the DL game got rained out. I wasnt gonna be able to make it. I think on the fourth a few student fans may make the trip to watch the big game. I'm looking forward to it.

Hume- Fogg has already beat the defending state champs Greenbrier and they could be in a good situation to go at a run for the state torn.

yea but so has lipscomb and lipscomb has beaten hume fogg @ HFA so i think lipscomb's got a better chance than hume fogg does

tonight greenbrier beat hume-fogg 5-0..... they play station camp monday and lipscomb tuesday

Where will the 8-AA Tournament be played? When will it start? Will it be double elimination for all eight teams, or will there be play-in games followed by a double elmination tournament for the four teams winning the play-in games?

I think that first round games are at higher seed schools..not positive though...and the rest of the tournament is at springfield!

if the tournament is anything like it has been in the past, the first round games will be held at the higher seeds field. The winner of those games move on and they will play at Springfield and it is not double elimination BUT if you win the first round game you are guaranteed to go to Region so after the first round the games are more or less for seeding in the region. does anyone know where region is?

The first round games are not for seeding in the region tournament. Only, the top 2 teams in the district advance to the region, so you have to make the District Championship game.

The tourney starts friday at higher seeds. The tourney is double elimination . The second round and beyond will be at Travis Price Park in Springfield. The other details have not been decided. The district meeting will be held on Thursday.

8AA District Tournament is a Double Elimination for all eight teams. The tournament will be held in Springfield except for the first round games(higher seed hosts on Friday, May 7th) as follows:

 

Seed 1 vs. Seed 8

Seed 2 vs. Seed 7

Seed 3 vs. Seed 6

Seed 4 vs. Seed 5

 

The tournament is scheduled to begin in Springfield on May 10th.

 

Sbcoach is correct. Only the top two teams from each District move on to the Region tournament.

Right now I think the Lipscomb vs. Greenbrier is still on for tommorrow at 5:00...they will make up the station camp game on wed.

lipscomb is playing today at greenbrier and they will make up the game with MLK on thursday. i don't think they are going to make up the game with springfield, doesn't matter because springfield would get killed anyway. i think lipscomb will run the district in the tournament starting this weekend. i say megan will throw at the least 2 shutouts.
