Region 1: Chuckey-Doak, Cumberland Gap, Gatlinburg-Pittman, Happy Valley, North Greene, South Greene, West Greene

Region 2: Alcoa, CAK, Loudon, Oliver Springs, Rockwood, Sweetwater, Wartburg Central

Region 3: Bledsoe County, Boyd-Buchanan, Marion County, Meigs County, Polk County, Sequatchie County, Tellico Plains, Tyner

Region 4: Cannon County, East Robertson, Jackson County, Smith County, Upperman, Westmoreland, York Institute

Region 5: Christ Presbyterian, Davidson Academy, Donelson Christian, Ezell-Harding, Fairview, Franklin Road Academy, Harpeth

Region 6: Houston County, Lewis County, Loretto, Richland, Stewart County, Waverly Central

Region 7: Adamsville, Camden Central, Dresden, Humboldt, Huntingdon, Milan, Peabody, Riverside, USJ, Westview

Region 8: Booker T. Washington, George Washington Carver, Memphis South Side, Oakhaven, Treadwell, Westside, Westwood

 

Of all five classes, this one is most up-in-the-air from Division II decisions.

Ever since TSSAA installed the 1.8 multiplier for all private schools. Same goes for FRA, DCA, USJ, Davidson Academy, Boyd Buchanon, and others.

Dresden has been 2A since the last classification and has become competitive in possibly the best 2A region in the state top to bottom.

The best {tuffest} Region in the state eny class is region 2 aa Wartburg, Loudon, Aloca, O.S., Rockwood, Sweetwater, CAK!

I disagree with you GIBSONJ! I would have to say that region 5 would be the toughest based on most recent success. I would agree, however, that region 2 will be a HECK of a region to play in!

Can you imagine the drive between Dover and Loretto

The drive from Loretto to Dover is better than the drive to Nashville every year for the Dover team. Why? Because some intelligent person at the TSSAA always made small rural Stewart County play regional opponents Goodpasture and David Lipscomb, two of those private non-recruiting (cough, cough) schools.

2A has to be the most competetive class in the state. All of you are saying this region or that is the hardest, but look at region 3. When Boyd moves up the best you can hope for most yrs is third. Cause you don't have much of a chance against them or Tyner.
