Dateline Special: Shelbyville Eaglettes

In "The Season," Dateline follows the Shelbyville Eaglettes, a small-town girls basketball team, from first practice through a nail-biting state championship tournament. The one-hour documentary is seen through the eyes of four talented young women and their coach as they face intense competition, academic troubles, family problems and all the normal challenges of adolescence.

So its one episode long? One hour, thats all it is? I was under the impression that it was like a series. One hour is all they got out of all that filming.

Promos began airing this morning with the Today show. They should air during most netowrk programming until Sunday. So be watching for them.

Does little showtime have a starring role? I heard Gary Coleman started out that way.

Only way I will be in the show is if they got me on tape out at the Nike TOC last year or the State Tournament. Those were the only two times I was with the team last year.

I live in Murfreesboro and I go to church in Shelbyville. But no matter where I go all I hear about Girls basketball is Shelbyville. Keep it up eaglettes.

I wonder if NBC will feature on how little support the team gets from the students, and how little support they got in the tourny despite being only a hop and a skip away?
