Chowbay for the year: 79 for 149 for 1385 yds with 13 TD's and 7 int. Has an outstanding ability to make something out of nothing. The statement "he makes everyone else around him better" definitely applies. GHS must keep him in the pocket and not allow the scramble plays.

He completed passes to 6 different receivers against Hville with Landis (#6) and Simpson (#87) being the leaders. Also watch out for Comacho and Jackson.

I noticed last year before he got hurt he had an uncanny way of making things happen out of nothing. Definitely a huge playmaker for this district. I have heard that they are kind of small along the lines but that usually means they are quick. Gallatin knows this is the biggest test since the start of this winning streak. Lots on the line for both squads.

This should be a great game. I think it comes down to who wins the turnover battle. MJ has an excellent secondary; but the key will be if MJ can slow down Gallatin running game.

I think the by week was a big help and the Bears will be re focused. They know that if they beat the Wave they are in the playoffs. Beating a good team like Gallatin would give a lot of confidence going into the playoffs.

Bears will spread the ball around to many on offense.

Special teams will be huge.

"Beating a good team like Gallatin", funny how about a month ago that was not what everybody was saying.

Slowing down the MJ offense will be a huge task for the Green Wave. They have gotten considerably better on defense but still can improve. The changes made have helped a lot. I think Gallatin is focused on MJ because I know last week it was hard for them not to overlook Portland. This game was in bold since the start of this winning streak. Not sure if Gallatin can pull of the upset but they should fight tooth and nail the entire game.

The Wave have had a ton of injuries this year and finally got players back healthy. They are playing as good as anyone the last 4 games. They are playing with a lot of confidence.

MJ has been looking forward to this game since last year. The Bears always have the Gallatin game circled. This has been a classic rivalry.

This being the last home game for the seniors will mean a lot as Major said.

Cant wait for Friday !

    • Understand the young thing.  I was one of those.  Barely 17 when I graduated from high school and started college.  But redshirting for athletic purposes isn't doing them any favors, in my opinion.  Life isn't always going to be fair.

    • The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball.   Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say they have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
