  1. 2 day tournament this year. Anyone have the schedule of what is wrestling Friday and Saturday?

  3. @cobrakid8 You also lied that you were not aware of another common opponent. I literally posted the results from both their matches again Caleb Turner of Halls and tagged you in them. The difference between you and me is that I can pick my guy and still give all these kids respect as warriors by acknowledging that any one of them could win on a given day. Instead of doing that, you just make nasty jokes on a public forum about high school wrestling that kids clearly read (the kids you are talking about). You are embarrassing yourself man. You need to stop.

  4. Man the lies are ridiculous. You literally said “Davis probably beats them both,” and then said you did not say that. You stuck your foot in your mouth and when I called you out about it, you will not even acknowledge it. You ignored the fact that Tyson pinned Davis. You ignored that fact that Tyson beat Turner WAY worse than Davis beat Turner. All you have to say is “I think Gentle and / or Davis wins, but Russell could win.” But you would rather talk dirty about @Rasslinking and make nasty jokes (which just shows further how ignorant you are) than just give the young man the respect he has clearly earned. The dirty trash out of your mouth tells me all I need to know. Your opinion holds zero weight.

  5. Im sure they will wrestle this summer.... if Davis loses will you not claim Soddy any more? or does freestyle not count again?

  8. Olli will be ready to go but this appears to be Gobbel’s year. They’ll have a few tricks up their sleeve for him but he’s too much for Olli right now imo. If we are picking a dark horse to win, I’m going Payne at 150. Deane has bigger gas tank but if Connor is locked-in and ready to go, he could get it done. Very dangerous wrestler

  9. Powerade was not that tough for a heavy, and neither was the Carnahan or Knockout. Maybe middle weights where guys like Bo Bassett or Jax Forrest wrestle but if you think Powerade was that tough for a heavy when Russell placed 5th I think it was and Crowder who placed 7th was that tough I don’t know what else to tell you! Just because a tournament is tough doesn’t mean all weights are created equal and if Davis can pin Crowder in the 2nd easily while beating him 8-1 and I don’t think Davis would have a chance against Gentle but I think Davis would beat Russell! Also by the way the only loss I show for Davis this year is Riley Souther(Dalton) 5-2, Carson beat Souther 7-1.

  10. Do you mean Justice West? Don’t know a Rell? And I can understand why y’all would want Stanton. He did bring a championship to AE, so it’s completely understandable. I’m not one of the OR folks who dislikes SS. I wish him the best.

  11. what you're thinking of happened in 1998-2000 when they did pre-determined which sectional winners(and runners up) played eachother in advance; it worked but it took out the blind draw element

  12. Gentle also has not beaten a ranked wrestler this season (maybe ever). @Rasslinking is just pointing out that an 8 - 4 loss to the one tough guy Gentle has wrestled all year is not justification to say Tyson has no chance. And @cobrakid8 if you are going to say Tyson has not beat a Flo ranked guy this season, you have to also point out that Gentle has not either. Powerade, Carnahan, and Knockout are tougher than just about any state tournament in any state, and they are certainly tougher than the one tournament that Gentle went to (Drennan Memorial). Ranked guys or not, to place at all three in one season is a freaking impressive accomplishment. The fields at those tournaments were loaded with ranked teams and there is not an easy match in any round. Both guys are strong and athletic. I just think Tyson has a little more wrestling skill and is more polished with the tough schedule he wrestled this year. For that reason I think he wins by decision in a close match.

  13. After reading this, I will go with the obvious. Multi, multi, multi, millionaire. I live around, and know a lot of wealthy people. You would never know they were wealthy. And they would never get on a platform like this and say they were. I can still hear my Dad, "Son when someone boasts of how much money they have, they are usually the one's that don't have much". I will put you in that category.

  15. I will say this I wasn’t there for the situation this last weekend but it has been building up for 4 years. 1. It’s not the first time he has talked about my kid in a negative manner. We have heard about it from other coaches, kids and even from his wrestlers. I have a huge network of people that I keep in touch with, he must not know. 2. I don’t concern myself with people like him so I brush it off and focus on the people that have my son’s best interest at hand. Mom on the other has had enough of it and it finally came out. 3. Landon did snap back at him when he overheard and that issue has been addressed. 4. I will be the first to admit my son is an a**hole on that mat and carries a chip with because of coaches like him. We don’t wrestle for Williamson county championships we wrestle like we are going D1 and that won’t change. But if you actually know my kid you know he’s far from it.

  16. I think you nailed it. AA has been a stronger than AAA last year and this year. I don't think it will always be that way; it will likely cycle back and forth. AA is absolutely loaded right now. I think state tournament looks like this: Regions 1-2: Gatlinburg and McMinn Central Regions 3-4: York and East Nashville or Westmoreland Regions 5-6: 2 of Huntingdon, Cheatham Co, Summertown and Loretto Regions 7-8: Gibson Co and Westview Gatlinburg, McMinn, York, Gibson Co and maybe Huntingdon all have enough talent to win the whole thing.

  17. So, last night was a night of pleasant surprises... We played Greeneville in the season finale last night. The injured Hannah Frye started the game for us. I was sitting there kind of perplexed wondering what was going on. Greeneville wins the opening tip and goes down and scores uncontested. We hand the ball back to the Greeneville player on the inbounds who scores again. 4-0 Greeneville. We inbound the ball to Hannah who walks down and scores. Greeneville hands the ball to her again and she scores again. 4-4. Game is stopped for recognition as Hannah reached 1,000 for her career. I had no clue when she suffered the season ending injury against Wise Central, she was that close to 1K. Classy move by Greeneville and the game officials for allowing this to happen last night. As for the game itself, we won 66-61. As the boys game is set to begin, Caroline Hill and Hannah brought me and my wife a Thank you Card and a $25 gift card signed by our eight seniors just for being supporters and for not missing a game over their tenure. I don't have a daughter on the team. We're just fans. It brought tears to our eyes that they thought of us like that. What an amazing group of young ladies. Hoping Saturday is the beginning of a long and successful post season run for these girls. Not going to lie, getting to the glass house will be a tall task with Bearden and Farragut in that same sectional. And even Sevier County being in the same region. But these girls proved a lot of folks wrong that they wouldn't win the conference after Hannah's injury.

  19. Really be interesting if he stays with Michigan since all the turnover is happening. I know he has many choices but will be interesting.

  20. Alcoa had substituted to basically to the freshman team against AE and the freshman DB picked off the AE receiver and ran it in for a TD. Nix made the punter take a knee instead of kicking the EP. Sad, thing...the next series....Alcoa picks up a fumble for another score. Samething, takes a knee on the EP. Game was already running clock and 8 minute quarter second half.....
