This one is a hard pick, this may be one of the best games played all year. I do think that Farragut will win just because of their passing game, and it just depend if oak ridge will be able to regain confidence after the loss to ooltewah. Go get em Farragut!!

Go Owls !

Go Admirals!

I agree Farragut can win with their passing game, but they will have to be able to run it as wel. Their oline has got to pay well this week.

The team who blocks and tackles the best will win the ball game.

First, this will not be an easy game for Oak Ridge, and if I had to put my money on it, I would place it on the backs of Oak Ridge players. However, this is a very impressive defensive team in Farragut. Their linebackers are as good as any I have seen in TN this year. Far better than Oak Ridge's linebackers.

They have a swarming defense that can stop the run; I've seen them bury some pretty good runners. At the same time I don't think they have seen the likes of Oak Ridge's running backs. The Gulmire kid is simply impressive. But he better not get anywhere close to the Reveiz boys or they will bury him.

Oak Ridge has an adequate passing game, but it is nothing to write home about. I would definitely take it for a high school football team. If Farragut gets physical in this game it could be quite difficult for Oak Ridge. They folded under some physicality against Ooltewah last week.

On the other hand, I just find it very difficult to see them have a collapse like that two weeks in a row. Farragut must watch out for their trickery, because Oak Ridge has used trickery in a number of games to surprise and bury their opponents. If Farragut fails to stay close in this game, I just think Oak Ridge will not fold for a second week in a row. Also, Farragut is not loaded as a quick strike kind of offense and as a result cannot find themselves down early to Oak Ridge.

Oak Ridge cannot afford the mistakes they made last week, because that is exactly what Farragut does to their opponents -- take advantage of their mistakes and capitalize on them.

This ought to be a terrific game; wish I could see it.

Good luck to both teams.

Not that I am one that thinks bulletin-board material means squat in a game between good football teams, Oak Ridge fans should go pick up a copy of the Farragut Press.

Some very interesting, confident comments from the Admiral players. Of course, you can wait and read the Ridger tomorrow to see those comments as well.

Heck, after reading that article, I am thinking about picking the Admirals to come to Blankenship and hand the Wildcats a whipping.

    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
