im pretty sure you get that strikeout, actually im about 100% sure.

 

The pitcher does get credit for the strikeout if the batter gets to first

safely if the catcher drops the third strike. So technically a pitcher

could record more than 21 strikeouts in a seven inning game.

Would be a rare occurence though, so I think Mikey Minor will be atop the

leader board for a long, long time. Congrats..

I was at the game and yes the umps strikezone was not consistent but he called it the same for both teams. It was not one-sided.

I don't care if the umps helped or not, if you can strike out 21 batters then your doing something right. When was the last time you struck out 21?

Yes, you can get 4 Ks (or more) in an inning (PB on strike 3) and you get credit for 1.1 innings pitched. So if you had 4 Ks every inning for 7 innings you would have 28Ks and get credit for 9.1 innings pitched, even though you actually only pitched 7 innings. But I'd be finding me a new catcher if that happened.

Just give the young man his credit. You will probably get to face him again and I am sure you will do better. The ump did not strike out all 21 batters, the pitcher did.
