Tavarres Jefferson, Ensworth RB, last night 6 carries, 257 yards, 4 TDs

I completely agree with you, Jefferson is a very underrated back who will see a lot of tough competition next year when Ensworth moves up into the D-II AAA divison with BA, MBA, and all of those other teams. What is your association with Ensworth because you seem very high on Jefferson.

I should have mentioned Zach Rogers of David Lipscomb also. His stats aren't overwelming due to the fact Lipscomb doesn't pass a great deal. However, he has 9 catches for 293 yards and 6 touchdowns for the year. Oh and his brother is a WR for UT. (It's in the genes.)

Zach Rodgers is very good. Saw him @ the 3A Championship. Smooth, fast, fluid. Looks like he could wind up being faster than his brother, Austin. Let me give you another "Zach", which is what made me think of it. Zak Tait, also a Soph. 6-3, 285 OG/DL @ Knox. Catholic. TWSA 3A All State @ DL. Saw him play twice against Fulton, and once against AE. Very quick pulling on "O". Watched the CSS replays and he was doubled on most plays and still seemed to make a half dozen solos in each of those games.

Congrats to Christian McFall for receiving the Prep Extra Sophomore of the Year award. Atta way Macky!

In my opinion sophomore fullback Will Brooks from Jefferson County has to be considered a top sophomore. Truly elite stregth and blocking ability. A physical specimen. Despite a season-ending injury, he showed drastic improvement from game to game. In the future look for him to be the featured back in Jeff Co's backfield. ;)

    • I have no clue if Derek tried to talk some since into his dad or not about staying here. All he is going to accomplish is going from the oven to the frying pan. If I were the coach all Ale would freze over before I set back and watched one of my good players leave without a fight.
    • If this is true, South Gibson is taking a big chance. Passing on an experienced coach for a guy who has never coached at the high school level is a high risk move, especially in that district and region.
    • Dorian Eskridge was HVA's best back, 2011
    • Jo Byrns was a very solid team last year. Imo, I thought they presented the biggest challenge for us on our path to winning it all last year. I expect them to be in the conversation and one of the final few teams playing in Murfreesboro
    • I'm not sure you understand anything if you think DB's career and AD's career are comparable.  This is a terrible take.   Not to slight AD, He was a good player and he got better as he matured after high school.   But Desean had over 8,000 yards in HS and was a two-time Mr. Football.
