I have seen both teams although I have not seen Sev Co since week 0 and the night I saw Ooltewah against WB they probably played their worst game of the year. Although this does not sound like it is in the majority, I really expect a high scoring affair with both teams in the upper 20's to maybe low 30's. To pick a winner is very difficult. I would be surprised if either team wins by more than 7. I will say, Sevier County leads 31-28 with 1 second left. Ooltewah lines up for the game tying 27 yd FG. The snap is bad, the holder has to pick it up and run. Of course with the bad snap, the TE slips into the endzone and catches the pass from the holder and Ooltewah wins 34-31. It's the Owls year to shine, what can I say? They will then host Farragut who will beat WB, 13-10. How, WB will be up 3 with 3 seconds left and Farragut on their own 49. Farragut will attempt the hail mary which will fall incomplete. However, WB will have committed a personal foul for hitting the QB late. So, Farragut has one more shot. They throw it into the end zone and it is picked off by a WB defensive back. Not thinking he tries to run it out. Then, when he realizes the clock reads 0:00 he simply throws the ball up in the air to celebrate before being tackled. As WB is celebrating, Farragut catches the ball when it falls and runs it in to win 13-10.

sc has never had morethan 24 scored on them.......theyve scored 42 against bearden and 36 against science hill(both playoff teams) and 34 against karns and halls....they average scoring 28 and their opponents average scoring 12

Counting first playoff game Owls averaging 35pts and allowing 12.2

I disagree with the way the Ooltewah/SC game ends. It won't be the holder throwing it, it will be the kicker. The rest looks good.

Why does everyone keep picking Ooltewah to win by 20 or so? Do you people even look at the match-up before you make your pick?

Sevier County passes very well. Ooltewah has played pretty bad in the pass defense all year, and is undersized.

If Ooltewah's offense wasn't so unstoppable, Sevier would win this one.

31-28 Owls is my early prediction.

I agree. Ooltewah will not win this one big, if they do win it. I believe the home field advantage does give them an edge, but I'm not sure I would give them a big edge. Sevier is a team that is going to feed on the Owls' weaknesses. But Ooltewah will win it in a close one.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
