so we know everything but the seed Waverly and Fairview will get. Here is the play in day schedule for May 2.

#8 Stewart County @ #1 Harpeth

#7 Cheatham County @ #2 Montgomery Central

#6 Fairview/Waverly @ #3 Sycamore

#5 Fairview/Waverly @ #4 Creek Wood

Montgomery Central gets the tiebreaker with Sycamore based on its sweep of Creek Wood. MC and Sycamore are both 10-4, but the spilt with each other. You look at the top and work your way down. Both got swept by Harpeth, the next in line is Creek Wood. MC swept CW and Sycamore spilt giving MC the 2 and Sycamore the 3. MC los to Cheatham doesn't factor in to the equation.

Some interesting matchups for the play in game:

Montgomery Central will look to pay Cheatham back for an embrassing loss early this year.

Fairview gets either CW or Sycamore. Everyone knows that Fairview can't hit, but if they play good defense and can scratch a few runs out they have a shot. Not likely because there are some big "if's" there.

Waverly is dangerous in a play in game, just ask MC from two years ago.

Stewart will get demolished by Harpeth, there is no nice way to put it.

The Montgomery Central hosting Cheatham Co. game in the opening round will be the only game in which the two teams playing one another in the opening round actually split the season series. That's odd for a #2 vs #7 matchup. I really like the Cubs to win this contest. They are going to have Huckaby on the hill pitching this contest and he's been on a roll in his starts of late. If the Cubs can continue this recent run of scoring that they have gotten from the offense lately they will beat Montgomery Central and play Sycamore for the right to advance to the Regional Tournament the next week. I say this because I do not see Harpeth losing to Stewart Co. (1st Round) or Creek Wood (2nd Round).

QUOTE(War Eagles @ Apr 25 2007 - 08:58 PM) 826445444[/snapback]Sycamore should beat Fairview pretty bad. This one should end in 5 inn.

They might play Waverly Central if Harpeth beats them tomorrow (or should I now say today since we are in the a.m. hours of the morning) /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Fairview beats Independence at Greer Stadium last night. it was a great game. both teams fought hard and played good defense. fairview scored in the bottom of the 7th to win after working out of a 1st and 3rd situation with no outs and gave up no runs in the inning.

this should be a confidence boost heading into next week.
