I don't know the problem Montes had with his shoulder except it was bad enough to

miss the season games. I don't recall the person having the cramps

but are usually caused by not drinking a lot of liquids during the day. Waiting

until game time to do their drinking is too late. As far as I know he was

the only person who had a problem all year. The 100* temperature did not

seem to bother them. Almost all the players on the squad sees some play action

during the game , probably more players than any other team in the Conference.

It did require surgery. I am 90% sure it chipped some bone. He will dress and play. He is a senior.

East will be trying to put number 10 on his back. He would be in a good

position to see the comet that is exploding in the north sky. Is that Curt's

number ?

 

I don't want to jinx Curt---too many people want to see him do good. Not

many fans get to see a top notch player in our area promising wins. If he

puts on a show , I hope it is a good one---just not good enough to win.

we don't know about fumbles or interceptions that causes a big swing in the

score. The biggest factor is how well we can keep Curt from having a big game

on the ground and through the air. That is a major task and we will need some

luck. East can't let down one minute . I believe the kids think they can win and

that alone will make them play harder. I hope the coach has a good play plan.

The reason that I say this will be a good game are for these reasons.

1.) East does a good job of getting to the QB. I know Curt is something special but he has lost games in his career and even one to east because they got pressure on him.

2.) East runs the edges well and from what I understand, that is what south has had trouble with. I think the south fans will really be amazed at how slippery Howell is in a crowd.

3.) We have really gotten better in the last few weeks in every aspect of our game and are starting to play well on both sides of the ball as well as special teams.
