Well isn't it great for both teams to still be playing this time of the year. I think from the start both programs would have thought of it as a disapointment not to make it this far. I still think Hampton will prevail on friday night but it will be a great game. So eat some left over turkey for lunch and come out in full force to support these young men. Home field advantage and that bend but dont break D will win out in the end..... Hampton 27 Midway 12................. Hampton's 1st string still has only given up 9TDs on the yr and now 2 FGs ..... Go Dawgs... To the fans of Midway be carefull on the drive up and it will be cold.. There is also a hotel the is the Americourt Inn of Elizabethton thats about 10min from our field.............Go Dawgs.........

Hampton should come out ready to play this game and hopefully limit the mistakes and turnovers. Midway loves to run the ball and Hampton Defense loves to shut the run down. The Dawgs may have the best defense in the state. In a way I agree with Muledog. I don't believe you can run the ball and expect to beat Hampton...

I'm not gonna say much about this game on this thread. Those of you that are regulars on here will know my thoughts on both teams & I don't wanna start a bunch of junk that would only end up as a bash this team or that team. Both of these programs are way to classy & I respect both programs to much to have that happen because of something I posted. I will only say that it is gonna be tougher in the trenches even than last week. I am even considering driving up to watch the game but it sure is a haul. Good luck to all & hoping you both stay healthy.

If they win this Friday we will see if they can still stop the run . Nothing against Hampton but SP is a great running team from what ive read on here.

well, SP is a whole different animal. there MIGHT be nobody that can slow them down...

 

It would be nice to get to try, in the end you are what you are. Sometimes other people have more talented players and you just can't beat um. Its happened to all but 8 teams already. Its no disgrace to any of them. The only thing it says about the last 8 is ,all of them are doing alot of good things . You just have to leave it all on the field every Friday night and if you are fortunate enought to win ,pat the other team on the back.go back to work and see if you can survive another week. Its not a shame to lose, its a shame to not give it you everything you have. You do that ,you are a winner.

Goosevol, Ireally can't give you stats , I really don't keep up with them. I do know that Lunsford has thrown for over 1000 yards , Leading rusher is Dustin Jaynes and he has rushed for over 1000 yards. The 2 leading receivers would be Newburm and Milhorn, not sure how many receptions,yardage or TDs. Not sure who the leading tackler is. Thats about all I can help ypu with. Its just a good solid balanced team. Hope that helps a little. I'm just a fan.

I was going on what u said about Hamptons defense maybe being the best D in the state in 1a . Ecspecially against the run . Im just saying we might get to see that match up . Not saying that Hampton can or cannot stop SP's running game . Just saying that from what ive heard about them and what ive read on here Hampton could have their hands full with SP's backs. Who knows Hampton could shut down everyone they play from here on out. They might not even get to play each other. There is one more game that has to be decided before we get the chance to see. Good luck DAWGS.....................

      You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.

      I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.

      Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
