Marty Blair is leading the search committee for a new athletic director and head girls basketball coach for Father Ryan. This was reported in the City Paper this morning. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

 

David Muckle, Pat Rowland, or Robert Hailey leading candidtates....

City paper said he is a ryan parent, surely he has more qualifications than that.

Well, you know, its only a girls coach, who cares, will Ryan prove that they indeed care about girls sports or back to the same ole thing, if it ain't football, who cares. Many people are watching to see how Ryan handles this situation. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Both AD and Coach resigned. So as usually tator tot lover, your post is like your predictions, off base. By the way, how bout a prediction on the upcoming football season, how many wins for Tator Totless Academy, you can only go down so far. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

You are preaching to the choir, bad thing is they just started caring about football again. But it does look like it will be at the expense of the coaches of the girls sports. Especially if they hold down PE positions.

I tend to agree, I am just hoping that maybe it would change. The girls deserve equal treatment even though Ryan as a private school does not have to follow the Title as public schools do. You would think that a school such as Ryan would realize that without girls, there might not be a Father Ryan. The girls make up a good portion of the student body. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Why is Hosey being let go, I know it is not because they want to hire a football coach to teach math.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
