7-AA ended up with only five schools: Bledsoe, Chattanooga Christian, Grundy, Notre Dame and Sequatchie. The district in Chattanooga had eight. I would bet part of the reason is Signal Mountain is expected to move up to AA in two years instead of four, which would make it a little more even. Plus I'd guess Howard, Tyner and Brainerd wanted to be together, and Hixson and Red Bank wanted to be together. Notre Dame and Chattanooga Christian have been playing every sport except football with Bledsoe, Grundy and Sequatchie so it's a good fit.

7 bucks for the playoffs is not bad. The tssaa gets 50% and the teams get 25% each. Since I pay $73 for a Titans ticket...I won't complain.

I agree on that one, I went to the Westmoreland vs Tyner game last week and for sure got 7 bucks worth of entertainment out of that game.

This maybe a crazy question but how are the wildcards going to be selected? Will it be the same as the current 2a system? If so then what is it?

Ronnie will do it the same way he does it for 1a /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Ronnie will get out his "black cat" bones and "rooster's comb" and figure it out.

That's not that crazy of a question devil. We have almost begun to figure out 2a and now they throw this at us. The key to the season is just go out and win. If you lose one or more, who knows.

Well here goes my 2 cents.

The entire classification process is a joke. All they did was create another layer of football playoffs. Instead of 5 classes, we have 6. What for? I don't know. It was thin with 5 classes, now with 6 it has watered down the entire process even more. Now we have 192 teams that will make the playoffs out of 310 or so schools eligible. As for the redistricting process, I think they just sit around pulling names out of a hat. There seems to be no rhyme or reason. We have been told one thing, but I'm sure when it comes out there will be something different. I wish the coaches and administrators would stand up and quit letting Ronnie Carter do as he pleases. It's time for a new direction for high school sports in the state of Tennessee.

I said that 15 years ago!!
