Funny, people have always told me the exact opposite. That's all I heard in the 90's is how Spurrier outcoached him. Seeing as how UT has more players in the NFL than I believe any other SEC school I would have to say they might be right. Although, I am one of those didn't want to see him go. Of course this has nothing to do with this thread now.

I wish Henry Co. the best, but they are going to have to play a perfect game to win in my opinion.

Thanx, hufstedler02, and I agree with all you said above. GO BIG RED ; GO MCKENZIE REBELS ; GO COACH MORRIS AND THE MILAN BULLDOGS!!!!!!!!

Question for yall Henry Co. folks. Do yall run the ball most of the time? with Teague, Allen, and another RB who is talented is seems like that is something yall would put your offense around.

Those we obviously can be quite potent on the ground, and the fact that it is our best asset, we do have quite an effective passing game when needed.

When I compared players it wasn't taken very nicely, but if you insist on my reasoning:

Reason #1 Scott Blade (former all-conference LB at San Diego State alongside NFL Hall of Famers Marshall Faulk and Adam Vinateri) Has coached at both the Community College and high school levels in California and has a State championship ring from time coaching at Canyon high school in Santa Clarita,California.

Reason #2 Kelly Myers (former OL- at Austin Peay)

Reason #3 Kevin Komisar (former LB at Alabama)

Reason #4 Charles Gillespie (former OL at UTK)

Reason #5 Alvin Fite (former 4A Defensive Player of the Year TN and two time all-state at HHS and former LB at MTSU)

Reason #6 Bryson Rosser (former two-time state champion in high school in NJ and former QB at TSU)

Personally, I really don't care how many rings or whatever HC has between them because I'm sure they have a great coaching staff(have to in order for HC to what they've done). However, I have the utmost confidence in the HHS coaching staff and they can coach with the best of them. I have no doubt about that.

If you are offended by my believing HHS has an edge in coaching staff please forgive me. I'm sure you feel HC has the advantage as well. I'm not going to dispute your belief though. If HC has former NFL super bowl winners on their coaching staff then why in tarnation are they assistant football coaches at Henry County high school in Paris, TN. They should be either head coaches at high schools or probably more appropriately at least assistant coaches at various college levels I would think. Are they all former Henry County football players or something? Sheesh!

Please note that I only asked a series of questions in reference to a comment you made. Your answers illustrated my point better than I ever could have. I was in no way suggesting your coaching staff was inferior, nor that Henry County's was superior. It was my intent to generate a discussion other than who can run fast. I am not at all offended at your opinion about your coaching staff.

That being said, you seem to suggest that Paris and Henry County is a lesser place to live. ("why in tarnation are they assistant football coaches at Henry County high school in Paris, TN"). All the coaches live here because they choose to, not because they aren't adequate to be elsewhere. You should come visit. You'd see the largest man-made lake in the US (second largest in the world) with more shoreline than than one of the Great Lakes, a national top 3 retirement destination, home to world champion banjo and mandolin players and an Emmy award winner (not to mention Hank Williams, Jr, 'are you ready for some FOOTBALL!?'), abundant outdoor activities, the nicest humans in the world and the best high school football team in Tennessee.

Now I ask YOU, why in tarnation are you not living in Paris, TN? Sheesh!

Actually it has nothing to do with Paris, TN or West TN at all as I really like both areas very much. Moreso it has to do with if you are qualified to coach at a college level and possibly make more money, it would stand to reason that you would rather do that than coach high school. I'm not saying that they don't choose to coach there it just seems the opposite logic of what one would expect if they are that qualified. To answer your question: because I was born and raised in Nashville, TN and I don't dislike living here enough to move at the current time.

I hesitantly decided to answer your question about my reasoning....As an HHS fan, I favor HHS coaching and players and wouldn't trade them for anyone else in the state. I just believe in their capabilities that much. Maybe that is a bit irrational and nieve, but that is my opinion whether HHS wins on friday or loses 63-0. Also, I tend to think that I am not the only one who thinks like that either, but then again maybe I am. Of course, I don't think my bias is unfounded either.

However, I don't really have anything more to contribute to this thread as we have already discussed strengths and weaknesses for each team, we touched on the best athletes for each team, we touched on coaching staffs, and we've basically touched on everything in between, so I will sit back and enjoy the holiday and wait anxiously for the game to take place on friday. Have a safe trip Henry County folks! I am looking forward to an exciting game for the right to likely play Maryville for the 4A State Championship one final time!

I saw stats on Young with 62 carries with 136 yards, 11 games. Young's passing stats are under Toney at Melrose. Collectively (Young and Perry, backup) their stats are very close to Toney.

Are both primarily pocket passers? Do they only run when flushed?

HHS posters, you guys are about as balanced as it gets. 13 games... 2,265 rushing yards/ 2,382 passing yards. That kind of surprised me I thought you guys were more of a running team.

Only other question tonight, does your clock function properly? /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

GO PATS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Okay, so I can contribute a little more. lol

Ever since Blade arrived in 2006, he has made it a priority to be balanced on offense. However, HHS used to run the Wing-T under Aydelott for about 10 years and if they passed it more than once in a game you knew you had just witnessed something very rare. Also, the clock usually works just fine....every blue moon it will become spastic. Hopefully, that won't be an issue this friday though.
