Congratulations to TC. You did basically the same thing you have done all year and brought home another gold ball. I was most impressed with the way the backs never quit driving their legs. Not just #5 but everyone that carried the ball. That is great coaching. Again congtats and good luck in 2A.

Jo Byrns, You have made us proud (and apparently gained some respect) Congratulations on a fine season And a remarkable past four years. I can't begin to describe to you how much fun the last four years of watching ya'll has been. If you Seniors live life like you have JBS football you can't help but be succesful.

Finally to the Devil Nation............Awesome! Not only are you great people you can party like no other. For those who did not make the parking lot of Red Floyd Stadium before the game, you missed an unbelievable experience. The food, the people, the spirit. I am so proud of these Red Devils and the people they come from. We'll be back!

Did "snoball" get his eligibility approved and did he play any in this game??

 

TC coaching staff was awesome and the players responded extremely well......like Champs!!

 

They earned my respect and that ain't easy!

i'm also applying for free agency. i'm a 1A ball player and my boys are movin up. i'm looking to sign with jo byrns or maybe hampton, but i'm not signing with a school unless they let you come along as my personal trainer/advisor. these are my demands, and they are final! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

He doesn't have any looking at him that I know of. Hopefully this run that the Devils made this year will give him a little exposure. Lk is an extremely hard worker. He really worked hard last year on the weights during the offseason and continued right on through the season. His weight lifting really helped his game this year. Thank you for your compliment.

 

yeah it payed off i can tell.....you need to get him working hard this offseason tho...what all you gunna be makin him do? lol cause i saw where you said you were gunna have him start today working lol

lol well if i know big kevin like i think Lk will come back next year looking like rock or someone ,,,,he lift's weight's year around from what i here this kid has determation

What happens in the weight room in the off-season can really make a difference in highschool. I do not know how the program is in JBS but according to some it is not that great. More so b/c the facilities are not the greatest not b/c the coaches are not trying. This is all specualtion as I stated though as this is what I have been told from the JBS fan base. When we won state in 1993 we got a very nice facility; maybe JBS can atleast get something better than they have now. Anyway great year and good luck next year.....

      Jada Hart, Jasmine Bailey and Kaitlyn Patterson the first two being PG's are all good guards and can handle ball pressure and are good players. Raven Wells will be a good post. There were games this summer where any one of the one's I mentioned were in double figures. Gibson County will control TO's much better this year and they will press more and get back to playing faster. AA is down across the board. I have been all over watching ball. Alcoa jumped to AAA and Jackson County moved down. to A. No telling who wins it this year. I agree Union City, Westview and Gibson County will be a dogfight and must see basketball. Poster insuated that Gibson County has a mental block against Westview. Well give me Maddie Gray and we line up last year and they wouldn't have won a game. Let's see how Westview does this year. Their starting five last year had three transfers in it. Rogers from Obion, Trevathon from Greenfield and Gray from South Fulton. Looks like they swung and missed with the girl from Florida this year so let's see how they do playing with kids from Westview. Gibson County has a really good 7th grade class this year.I have done learned you play with what you got and work them hard and develop them and see what happens. Just keep battling and see what happens. I like our team this year. Very athletic. Every year is the same with injuries and can be catistrophic to any. I watched GC all summer long. South Side and GC was very evenly matched and was a classic war. Hope all stays healthy.

      I think Gibson County is a top five team this next season but I do agree they will drop off a lot after this year.  Westview lost a ton and will be down this season and hopes of returning to glass house again is slim.  The run they have had is super impressive!

      My take on GC for this year: Based on what I saw last year and heard this summer, I’m not sure GC could surprise me next year with any outcome. Wilkins is a great coach - they could win the district and region and go to Murfreesboro. They could also come in third in the district and not get out of region. The two returning starters are very talented but Guru is right that they didn’t always play hard last year. The other three starters are good enough in their roles for GC to be successful. There is no depth. Foul trouble could be a problem - Wilkins may avoid it by playing a lot of zone. An injury would be catastrophic. I hope they have a big year and Wilkins rides off into the sunset in Murfreesboro because, without some significant transfers, there are some tough years coming in the next few.

      Daniel Boone coming down to 3A makes this much tougher. They added a couple transfers to the Flores girl. Cocke Co, Northview, Greeneville, and Daniel Boone - only two headed to Murfreesboro.
