Greeneville will be a powerhouse in AA.I didn't like when I first heard about the change.Fair is fair, and the Devils will be playing schools their own size come playoff time. The district is weak, but I'm sure the smaller schools are closer to Greeneville's size than Greeneville is to Jeff county and some of the big schools Greeneville has played over the years. The out of conference schedule is very tough, and should get the Big Green ready for show time.Go Devils and Roll Tribe

Who will be the back up QB and what is his ability?

Austin Perkins. He is from Florida. He was jvs quarterback last year. This year he will be seen mostly at outside linebacker. He is a tuff and hard hitting player, which is how he plays on both sides of the ball. At quarterback he will run alot (great runner). Best thing about him is that he is a leader.

That is quiet a nonregion schedule. I guess you guys figure you better get a test in these games, because your region stinks. I am surprised to see TN High and Sullivan South rather than a traditional rival like Mo East or West.

Tennessee High and Greeneville used to play every year. I would say Greeneville has played Tennessee more than they have Mo East or Mo West.

Greeneville should dominate their district. Playing a tough out of district schedule will help prepare them for the playoffs. Greeneville will win 7+ games a year for sure, and should be safe for atleat the first two rounds of the playoffs. They will end up playing Austin East and Fulton out of Knoxville, if I had to guess in the playoffs.

If Im not mistaken Fulton is 4A and AE is 3A. I could have this off, but I am pretty sure they are not in the same classification for football anymore. So Greeneville would have to get through Fulton in 4A. Greeneville be 2A in basketball, 4A in football.

With great coaches onboard, the varsity reports Monday am for 3 days of "Devil Camp." They looked great at Maryville College last weekend and with alot of work this week, they will be ready for a terrific season! This team has a great senior class both on and off the field! Let the football begin! Go Devils all the way! B)

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
