Well i never said anything about the price and i knew the season passes dont count for playoffs. And the answer to your question why upping your prices is because of the recession we are having and keeping up with costs of lighting the field, grounds crew, scoreboard, busses to the away games etc...

Well I have no problem with the prices going up if we had the games at home!! Four home games and they up the prices /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> now something is wrong with that. amen on your busses to away games because we are going to need them

I just don't see the benefit in going so far from home when it will be so hard for people to come watch the boys play. I'm not the only one complaining about it and I won't be the only one letting the administration at Franklin know our disgust in traveling so far for so many games.

Also keep in mind where Coach Clayton's ties lie. The new system is as such where you can load up on cupcakes and get a wild-card spot. Not many people are going to volunteer to face Oakland, Franklin, etc.

Really good point. But fbforme if Franklin has true fans, location shouldnt matter and its a good thing that the game is on a saturday.

Wow, not one but two out of state opponents. Start off right at bat with BGA, then a 5 o'clock game in Kentucky? Well im sure the players dont mind cutting school for that, then playing ten games without a bye week till oct. 23, and whoever put the FHS vs. BHS game in the last week is genius. This has to be the toughest schedule in all of the district.

Here are the other WilCo 6A non-district schedules. Do you still think FHS has the toughest? I'm not saying you are wrong because I have no idea how strong the out of state teams are. RHS probably has the weakest of the four but they all look tough to me.

TRUE. I agree that real fans will follow wherever and I will follow the Rebels. But lets take a look at Ooltewah and Louisville games since you want to argue. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Both games in another time zone and my understanding both are on a Friday. (not for sure maybe you know more than me and the Louisville game is on a Saturday, but I was told it was a Friday) So, we lose an hour trying to get there. If I work to four that day then I am leaving for a 2hour (or more) trip and I will be lucky to get there by game time. I will do it, because I have loyalty and ties to the game. What about the regular REBEL fans?? This will be very difficult to do and then when you look at the schedule and there is only FOUR home games then it gets a little frustrating!!!!! /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

Thus is the price for having a power program like Franklin's. With this new system, it is going to be tough to find a combination of an adequate amount of home game combined with a worthwhile opponent. I wouldnt blame the coach for the scheduling as much as I would blame all the new changes for having to go out of state. Not many low-middle of the pack teams are going to want to play Franklin now, they will be more interested in try to pad their schedule in hopes of making the playoffs, so Franklin's in-state options for the forseeable future are going to be pretty slim. The 4 home games maybe frustrating, but its not like all of your league opponents are an hour drive from FHS............

My question is why are we playing so many teams from so far away and why is there only four home games? I for one have season tickets and it is a shame that with the new costs for these tickets that we only get four home games!! That is two years in a row for only four home games? Who made the schedule the AD that was forced to leave so he made a RIDICULOUS schedule or did the football coaches make this schedule???? Last year I bought my ticket and then the Hillsboro game got moved to Nashville and we had to buy that ticket also. Two years in a row for only four home regular season games something is wrong with that, PERIOD!!

Eggleston was gone before the schedule was made and the student and adult athletic passes/reserved seating have all gone up its a shame.

when the new classifications were announced i thought i read something about how they were supposedly created to cut down on travel for some of the teams in east TN and other areas that have to travel far for region games if i read this correctly it seems like the T$$AA needs to rethink this.

I couldnt agree more with this statement.

And to kkbruin who had the non-district schedule, yea RHS hardest game is Goodpasture and Brentwood seems like they play all Rutherford Co. teams besides Gallatin.

I have no problem with the prices going up as long as we are getting the same or more for it! I just have a HUGE problem with only four home games and the increase in the price of the reserved seats. Seems like they would want to have five home games like EVERYONE else in the region. I guess we only have four home games (For two straight years) because we are so much better than the rest of the region?? I just think the school should be more fair about it! Enough though it is about the kids and I will get my car overhauled this summer so it is ready for all the trips. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Does any one in Franklin remember Danny Nowell. He was the coach there for a few years. I was just wondering about him.

/thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Coach Nowell is the OC at Hattiesburg, MS this will be his second year there. Last year they got beat in the second round of the playoffs. but in winning the first round it was the first playoff win in 12 years for them. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
