RebelYell
Dobyns Bennet is DB but Daniel Boone is going to show Y they deserve to have the same intials. Coach Jenkins does a good job of gettin teams out of there comfort zone an in to his game plan. I bet Doybns Bennet trys to get the running game back on track friday this will be a big test for that Big boone D...I think sparks will fly........Upset Boone 28- db 21 Well first things first djrob. The only reason Daniel Boone deserves to have the same initals is because....well that is their initals. Now as to the "Other" DB. They are a good team. Prob a very good 3 quarter team. But when you have 16-18 players going both ways time will be on the real DB's side. They ran out of gas late on South after leading most of the game. Anyhoo...good luck and enjoy those well deserved initals. BTW Don't sweat it djrob... batman will be on here in 15 minutes or so telling you congrats on Jenkins giving those guys equal playing time on offense and defense win or lose it's all about the blaa blaa blaa you know. Well, I don't think that many go both ways, but a lot of key players do go both ways and that will be the difference. Long drives keeping DB's offense off the field will be the key, since I believe most of the defensive players are the ones who go both ways, offense gives them a time to rest and what not. The South game wasn't them running out of gas, just them not being able to stop St. Claire more or less. We will see what happens though, pretty much this game could be DB remember who they are and having a good game, or the Blazers could show everyone that the thing against South wasn't some fluke. Limit turnovers and DB will have no problem with Boone. Even with DB's record, Boone will be intimidated once they step on the field. Plowboy Deluxe
Wrong PD,I hate to lose and don't have a kind heart when I get beat. That's what makes a good fighter keep coming when he should go down. This team wants to win and they never gave up last friday as a few thought, they just got outscored.I'll turn the other cheek for myself, but will go to the limits for these kids and their team.Don't mistake my style of writing as a weak little man, that's scared of his shadow ,sitting behind a desk. That's why I don't care that everyone knows who I am and what I think, good or bad.I just choose to find the good in these kids instead of all their mistakes I am pretty sure most of us know who you are and what you stand for by now. Little 'tounge and cheek" there batman. Well I hate to say it especially as a DB grad...some of them did lay down late in the game and did give up. I was there late in the 4th when it happened. As I said in a previous post others did not. Seabolt, Cleary, Sensabaugh, Clark, Corey, Patrick, Michaels, and of course Action played very hard. But the team as a whole does not have the heart and passion needed. I am sure there are a couple more I failed to mention. But the 2 key figures needing to step up and produce are the QB and the head coach. Both are very capable and both can get the job done. UT has the same problem as DB. We have to have our QB play smarter not harder. The defense can get the job done but only if the offense has more success. The Indians are Kingsports team. They are elite and we have come to expect no less. But this is high school sports and with that comes good times and bad. I am very close to this group of classes at DB and trust me I do feel the pain the players and coaches are dealing with right now. I do support them 100% across the board. I think the hopes of most of us that post here would be that some of the folks are reading this and they will come out and prove how wrong we are. 10.9.8.7.6... Tribal
When you look at young man and tell him,'' people are saying the team quit'', and he gets fighting mad.Well than, you have to believe the only one's that quit, were in the stands. We can debate what it means, but that's the reaction I'd want. I hope it is shared by a lot of the other players.
BatmanDB
If we have any starting players that will not give 100% in practice or give it all thay have in the game, than they will find a special place during the next game.It takes everyone including the guys that don't get a lot of playing time,to have a good team. That's why I was glad to see all the players rewarded in the Central game for their efforts.I will not see practice today, but I'll bet anything that some of our top players will be running for a practice mistake, and they will know it's the right thing because they are no better than the youngest, slowest or weakest member of this team. Plowboy Deluxe
When you look at young man and tell him,'' people are saying the team quit'', and he gets fighting mad.Well than, you have to believe the only one's that quit, were in the stands. It's stuff like this that drives me batty. How much success does anyone have when they respond in anger. Getting mad is or fighting mad is fine. It is a normal reaction or at least it should be for any competitor. But really when anybody reacts in anger it's usually a poor decision and the results are even worse. I wonder how many hands have been jambed from punching a locker? Something happened to get to that point. What was it , how do you fix it & what are you going to do about it. Doesn't necessarly mean you need to go fight someone, does it? Telling a player that it is ok you'll get 'em next time doesn't work either. Don't be afraid to face the truth, have the confidence to address it. If a player or coach can't handle that then Waco is right go be a part of upward. You have to fail before you can succeed. I don't recall you complaining when the fans started leaving at half of the central game when the tribe was up by what 28? The fans come to be entertained. HS College Pro etc.. Don't blame the fans when they leave especially when the show goes south for either team.

etathlete
Good post PD. If you haven't figured it out by now,Batman is not going to say anything negative about anything.Sugar-coating is not going to solve the problems that DB is having now.His boy wins the awards every week ,so he is satisfied with the status quo.Must be another neighbor.Db will pull it together .I don't think it will be this week though.Have a nice day. THSVikings2004
It sounds like the DB fanbase is imploding.
RebelYell
It sounds like the DB fanbase is imploding. This conference is so much more fun than the MLC. Fans that are passionate about their teams. If we only had Betsy in here too, it would so great.

Even with DB's record, Boone will be intimidated once they step on the field. Intimidated by what? These kids haven't played DB in years. They've played in nice stadiums with turf and they've played in packed houses. Last time I checked, DB had 14-18 year olds on the team, same size as the Boone boys.
