I have those old records somewhere and will try to find but I believe the year was Fred Walton's last year. Boone and D-B have not played that often as Boone was in the IMAC in the early 80's before moving to the Big 9-10 or whatever in the mid 80s until the split into 5 classes in the early 90s.

Daniel Boone beat DB at DB I think in 1985. Maybe was even DB homecoming game.

That was one of the few years DB had a losing season and went 4-6.

They came back in 1986 and 87 and went 11-1 each year.

I think those 2 years was when Faulkerson was there?

Daniel Boone beat DB at their homecoming game in 1985. I was a senior, score I think was 35 to 14, again not sure. Boone went 8 - 3 that year with wins over South @ Boone, DB @ DB, TH in the castle, Johnson Co., Volunteer, David Crockett and 2 I can't remember. Our losses were North, Elizabethton and Central. That year we were independent (no conference).

Just kiddin… the truth is with this past graduating class gone (including the last of my two); I’ve lost all of my “insider information” sources. And I like to have at least a little fact behind what I say. I’ve been to all three of the Viking games… and as impressive as they may have been, the fantasy part of our schedule is now over and it’s time to put the salad fork down and pick up the steak knife.
