Polk @ South Pitt

Don't get me wrong south pitt has a great program I'm just tired of seeing everyone down Polk they are a good team and these boys have played together since they was 5 years old. They play together and no one takes the spotlight. They come and play hard for 4 quaters and won't stop till the horn sound inthe the 4th. South Pitt will be in for a fight come friday night. Go Wildcats

 

We might very well be in a fight...It would really suprise me though...Our boys will be ready to play as usual...It is tough to beat the pirates at home in their black uni's I look for a big game this week from which ever running back starts and Jijuan Fennel and on the defensive side from Blake Mitchell and Rameal Robinson Go get em boys

ok the last time polk played tyner (in 2004 i think) polk was slow as heck.. i know cause i played and tyner was far from slow... we had every chance to win that game... and i believe we lost by 7... but i brought this up to show you that speed is not that much of a game changer in certain situations... now it may be different come friday, but polk is way faster now than in past years maybe ever as a whole team... south pitt may have more overall speed... however, when you stay at home and play your position the way your coached to speed is contained... polks d (and even the o) is very disciplined and is capable of that... this game has so many different aspects from each team i just dont see it bein a blowout on either side... this should be the game of the year in the chatt area if both teams show up... i cant wait for this game... long drive but i think it will be worth it... good luck wildcats...

This will not be nothing close to the game of the year. The game of the year was at Boyd but that was spoiled by Terrell being out with the flu and by the way Speed Kills!

ok i've had all i can take with the south pit trash talking. all you south pitt fans are you guys have done is trash the polk players saying slow can't win all that well these boys play with a lot of heart and pride and that helps win games. they don't make many if any mistakes and they love to hit. all i read on here is that they are going to out hit us and i just laugh bc you can ask any team taht has played polk the last 10 years and they will tell you that polk hits and hits hard the whole game. an a other thing if south pitt is so good why don't they play up in 2a or 3a? polk is a 2a school but coach davis wants to play in 3a so that says alot bout him wanting to play bigger schools. if south pitt is so great i just don't see them winning state in 2a or 3a. Polk has a good team and they play as a team it ain't about one player on the polk team. All i see on here is one player for south pitt and i love it because everytime we played a team this year and they just talk bout one player he gets shut down by the polks d. Just be prepared come friday night those big and slow polk boys wil give you all you can handle and more. If south pitt wins ain't won't be a blow out this is going to be a hard hitting physical game. Good luck to both teams on a injury free game. Polk shows everyone that they are for real win or lose friday night they won't stop playing and that heart and PRIDE they play with will show. GO WILDCATS

 

You seem to only read what the Pirates are saying, not what the Wildcats are saying!! Fans from BOTH sides are trash talking and complimenting each other. Any way, just wait till Friday. This game MIGHT be tight early on, but the Pirates will pull away and win by 2 or 3 touchdowns at least.

I am tired of hearing how good South Pittsburg is.That is all I hear.If you think this will not be a game then you have lost your mind! Polk has a better record, a better coach, and probably stronger players in my opinion. I do not see this game being a runaway even if it is at South Pittsburg. These boys from Polk are ready to play and they want some of South Pittsburg and I think they are tired of hearing about how South Pittsburg is going to whip them as someone said earlier. If anyone gets whipped it might be South Pittsburgs line going both ways because the Polk boys do not play around. Mr. Robinson you will be running for your life in this game coming up that is my prediction.I can not see your line blocking ours and someone from Pittsburg said something about stopping Polks run?Good luck!I am sure all our running backs would love to meet South Pittsburgs linebackers in the whole and have a little Oklahoma drill to see who is tougher.Like I said I was tired of hearing all of the hype about South Pittsburg. They may not be that good because who have they played besides Boyd that beat them a few weeks ago? My point exactly.So pirates you better be ready to play or you will get beat. Should be a good game i dont think polk is underated in the region just south pittt is revered. both teams very capable of winning probably the best math up i have seen all year.polk much harder of an opponent than boyd i feel but with weather not being a factor and robinson back south pitt definetly capable of winning. i have not had the pleasure of seeing polk play just followe the weekly schedule they are a good team that has played a good schedule .I have seen pitt they are good and fast the key is stopping t.r. good luck to both

The only time he will be running untouched into the endzone is in warmups...This Polk defense if for real and they play tenacious I agree with the poster from polk that said we have the hardest hitting linebackers in the state.They will flat out just get you!I think they can hold pitt to two touchdowns cause they will hit so hard and jar the ball lose and cause turnovers! I am ready to get this war started Friday night and prove to all the Pitt people that they are not 4 touchdowns better than us.You guys will see.Better be ready to hit Pirates because your fixing to get hit Friday!!!

Polk moved up to 3a because other than alcoa, it is relatively weak. Polk moved up where they wouldn't have to play the likes of Boyd, trousdale, and friendship..........that is why. SP may win the state in 2A, but why would they move up when they have 200 kids and they can win a ring for the next 4 years?? SP 42- Polk slugs-13
