You know those jokes about the fireworks and the PC faithful have me rolling. That horn is LOUD as well. The Hole is definitely a fun environment to watch a high school football game. With that having been said however I also gotta say that the Smith County people will enjoy watching the Pearl-Cohn band at halftime. They are absolutely worth the price of admission to any Firebirds football game. They have athletes in the band that would make many schools just drool over the idea of having them on the football field.

Good to hear from you Howdy - We're looking forward to seeing you folks next year. I also have heard that the band is outstanding and to do the feats they do, they have to be good athletes. I bet the conceassion stand won't have two people at halftime due to fans watching PC's band. As to the fireworks, my advice is for ALL SC fans to hit the dirt when the firecrackers go off !!

Best of luck Big Owls. Preparation is over. Balls in your hands now seniors.

Come on down my friend. I will be in my usual spot. Corner endzone concrete bleachers (not attached to the main concrete stands, they are in the corner by themselves), scoreboard side right beside the SC signs. One of the top three rows. We get a little rowdy, but the purple will be no problem :cry: .

Make sure you get your hotdogs and relieve yourselves around mid-way through the second quarter! :thumb: In all seriousness, good luck to the Owls tonight. I'd be there, but I got to head on down to UGA. Going to see Tech shock the world! :thumb:

Pow-Pow-Pow!!!...... just checking your reflexes there Scooter! :roflolk:

    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
    • They struggled to field a team last year. I don’t see them being much better?
    • sx good two know thay didun't waint that entarr citty two see yeller/red......
    • Couldn’t agree more.. Tate is a special kinda player , but fortunately for us we get a best of 3 series. I think our pitching is better than last year when we made the trip to west tn. Should be a fun 2 or 3 games.
