Not much to say except thanks to the team for a great year and best of luck to the seniors. It's hard on you guys right now and nothing can be said to change that.If your a player and read this,I would log off of coacht and enjoy the weekend. Most of the junk that will be said on here is just that and you guys are better then that. You have played for a great school and a very fine man in coach Clark. Now give your loved ones a hug and thank them for being there for you over the years.Your a great bunch of guys and played in one of the greatest games that I have ever seen tonight, the good guys just came up ever so short.

Game of inches.Very nice post here batman. Great advice and some wonderful words. hopefully the kids won't be seeing this, because that would mean they're probably seeing all the other garbage as well. will we see you in Greeneville this friday?

Games are rigged, refs are swayed and if you don't believe it then you are not the mind I believed you were.Quote

Just curious. You think folks set out to win Bearden this game beforehand, and actually "rigged" the outcome of the game? I wasn't there, like I said just curious.

No I don't.

First off, MHS, I never once stated that Bearden did anything disrespectful. And if anything disrespectful is ever done it is never the coach or players, or for that matter the administrators who can affect such a conspiracy. And never have I thought or accused anyone of such. However, there are people in power with money who feel they can control most anything they want. As well there are common people willing to be controlled. If a person doesn't believe that then I would say that person might be a bit naive. But if you must comment on this portion of the thread then you must read it carefully. I fully stated that no Indian complained of bad officiating. As well, I stated that many (including at least one Bearden fan) confirmed that he was not out of bounds. One call in one game? Officials are not perfect. May have been an honest mistake. However, this sort of situation is a disease for DB. It happens much to often for it to be consequential. But all of that aside, none of this matters because most of this conversation was with Barb who is a Greeneville fan and most of the conversation was regarding her and me and our common relationship. I was merely alluding to the understanding of the pain DB feels and has felt for so many years by our own experience with similar circumstances in another year, another classification and another game.

Most every DB fan who has posted on this game has agreed that, questionable call aside, it was a special teams colapse that cost the Tribe this game. Lack of execution is the disease, the missed call is just a complication. What DB fans need to be looking for now is a diagnosis and cure. They are a program with too great a tradition to continue this course.

    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
    • Yeah. AC brass walked in to the building at Clinton and suggested that the principal start changing grades.  Honesty, the notion that anybody at AC was involved is just idiocy.  The ones who are hurt most are the kids who weren't involved in the cheating, but still are being penalized by college admission decisions and scholarship consideration simply because they went to a school that was involved in such a scandal.
