Union City Golden Tornadoes 2011

I garuntee you that boy that played for Union County last year was a real good runner. I have read about this Hyde boy in my Murphy Fair book. Let me ask you Union County people a question. How fast can this Hyde boy run the 50 yard dash in? If he is benching 200lbs he will be real hard to tackle. Does that coach make him run with ankle weights to make him real fast? That coach can also make him push tractor tires to make him fast and strong. You think im joking but im not.

Roy I was refering to how much he weighs not his bench press. He can bench over 300 lbs. A very physical specimen.

Hyde Is over 200lbs , not as fast as nicks. He is fast don't get wrong, but he is 4.7 40 time, more of a power back than speed back.

I took my son out to lunch a couple of weeks ago. It was the day before he left to go to Air Force BMT. Keylon and his family came into the resuarant. He was looking very broad through the shoulders and thighs then. I can only imagine what he will look like after a full winter spring and summer of Bowlings strength and conditioning program.

To my knowledge we are still running the same. As long as caoch Bowling stays here we will run the Veer.

If only they could actually get a legitimate threat through the air...Not much of one, maybe 10-12 passes a game just to keep a defense from putting 11 in the box...

Their big question mark on offense will be at QB...It's a huge loss when you have your QB living under your roof...They will be blessed with skilled players otherwise...

They will also have to show marked improvement on defense..

I garuntee you that Union County will have to find another passer. I was looking in my book and that coach did not list a backup passer for Union County. Who is going to be the passer next year and I will write it in my book? Give me his height and weight and how fast he runs the 50 yard dash and how far he can throw the ball so I can compare it to next year when my new Murphy Fair book comes out.

Roy the QB next year will most likely be a kid named Mike Ruttland. He is tall about 6'2" and can throw it a mile. He will probably weigh about 180 and is fast. I dont know the specifics but he outran several db's this season from his widereciever spot and got long td runs. he has been playing the qb position for the last 2 years on the JV squad. I think he will do fine out there as the feild general and will give us another threat on the corners when he keeps the ball.

    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
