Sorry Oak Ridge fans this will be an upset! Farragut will be up for this game after losing a game to DB that they should have won and then Smithey (Knoxnews)doesn't even rank them in the area Top 20. He ranked Bearden #16 after they lost 32-0 last week. I think they will be angry and really up for this game.

All of this rah rah Farragut is gonna be mad after last week crap means nothing. When it all comes down to it, that stuff lasts for about a quarter at most. Then it comes down to who has the better execution, the better players, and the better coaching. I am an OR fan, but if you ask me, OR has the better out of all those 3. The rah rah crap means nothing after awhile. If that is what your basing Farragut winning on, then you are in for a long night.

If the rah rah leads to a strong 1st quarter and they put 2 or 3 scores on the board that could change the game in Ads favor. There is alot of confidence coming from the OR camp, but they have yet to be tested on the field. We'll see. Don't count on the Ads putting the ball on the ground 5 times this week though. I think it'll be a close one whatever the outcome.

Does anyone remember the OR/FHS game several years ago (early 2000s I think) where the lights at Blankenship went out just before kickoff causing a long delay? I don't remember the score but it was an OR route. I remember the headline reading "Oak Ridge Turns Out the Lights on Farragut"...not the outcome I wanted, but journalistic gold nonetheless.

Proving that time flies, "the night the lights went out" was 1997. I was reminded of that game and a few others with last week's weather delay.

It's not like OR doesn't have any bad attitude going into this game glasgow. Losing to you guys 5 years in a row is plenty enough motivation they need, TRUST ME.

Boy, it sure is mighty quiet in this thread now. Where are all those arrogant smack talking Mildkitty fans predicting such a huge victory over the Admirals?

Kudos to the few Oak Ridge fans in this thread who gave Farragut a little credit before hand and at least expected a tough game. It was a tough hard fought high school football game between two pretty good teams. The Oak Ridge players played a tough ball game but turnovers and getting a little worn out toward the end did them in. The advantage Farragut had in having already played a tough game was a big help also.

    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
