I can't disagree bout the Hale kid last year in the title game, but the award is for performance, character, academics, ect. Throughout the year, now given if he would have gotten more carries thru the year then he prolly would have been possibly the guy to beat....I still say Tucker is the top performer overall this year

I'd save my vote until we see what all these kids do in the playoffs,I'm unbiased and think all the kids nominated are dandy's, but with the overall comp SP has played and the numbers the Lankford kid has put up,I'd put my money on him.Shoot I hardly ever pull for SP,Just a few ocasions,but they know a good one when they see one.

 

But Tucker is gonna win it and that don't bother me at all,heck of a choice. If Lankford applies himself and stays healthy,he might win it the next 2 seasons.

How many yards did the Hale kid need to get in the regular season, the playoffs and title game? He had over 1000 yards in the 4 playoff games alone. Sure academics is important, but there was no questioning his character. Plus, I highly doubt academics is the first thing that comes up by these committees.

If we have to play these this Marshall man, Grider better be finding someone that can block this Coen boy. If we cant block him he will tackle our runners in the backfield. Grider better be having that big Roberson boy lifting alot of weights so if we have to play these Gordonsville boys he can block that Coen boy. You think im joking but im not.

I will be interested to see how Tucker preforms in Huntingdon friday night. I think he is a good player, but hasn't preformed well the last two weeks agianst good teams. If he does well in huntingdon, I will be sold on him. If Warbritton out does him head to head, maybe he will finally be taken seriously.

I don't think it will matter, he may or may not be the better player,but in my mind,Tucker will bring home the prize.

Probably so due to the records he has set. I just hope people from PC come away from friday nights game impressed with Warbritton. I just think that Tucker hasn't played the competition that the other two boys have.

Tucker has had a good 2 years now. He put up really good numbers last year and put them up again this year. Perry County has beaten and played several teams that are still in the playoffs this year. Forrest, Lewis Co., Columbia Ac, Wayne County (lost this one), Loretto (lost last week in OT). They aren't all powerhouse teams but they are playoff teams. Tucker is a really good player not only at QB but also defensive and special teams. A few weeks back he picked up a fumble & scored, blocked a punt & scored, ran a TD then threw a TD all in the same game.

Nice post. I might also add that he has a 4.0, is a leader both on and off the field, and a great all-around kid. He's also one of the most polite kids I've ever met in my life.

Dont forget Riverside even though they are 4-6 they are a 2 seed in the 2A playoffs.

Easy fella, I know that Tucker is a good athelete. I wasn't trying to say that he isn't, just want to see him preform against tougher competition. I think he will probably win, just think our boy warbritton is getting overlooked.
