He shouldn't have turned around like he did and face down the field. However, he just set a state title game record on a 98 yd pass reception, about 37 yards through the air and ran for the rest.

The whole "Tucker/Rice" argument is debatable but justifiable. The team I support is 5A but I follow 1A and the other classes pretty heavily. I would take Tucker b/c I believe he could step in and run the veer just as effectively as A.Rice but I do not believe A.Rice to run the spread as effectively as Tucker. Those are just my personal opinions and they are speculative at best. However, if you break it down by skill, both are good runners although Tucker may be a tad bit faster (not sure) and I give Tucker the edge in passing although A.Rice is a fine passer as well. I am not saying I am right or wrong, this is just my perspective, there are many points that could be brought up in eithers case but it really doesnt matter, it a close call regardless what side you take. I am not going to debate this any further b/c this thread is/should be dedicated to WC winning state.....Congrats

Ok man, Tucker may run the spread better but I don't think there is a QB in the state at the 1A level that can run the veer like A. Rice. If you put Tucker in Austin's place today there is a good chance we lose. I mean the kid had 205 yards rushin at the QB position against South Pitt.. I mean I understand you have your own opinion but as far as the veer goes..you can't compare the two. If you don't believe me just ask the stats...lol 14-0...FEAR THE VEER

Congratulations to the wildcats you guys made a believer of me alot better than expected! with that said for all the returning Pirate players i hope with every sprint, every drill and every weight you lift in the off-season remember todays game and endeavor to return to the campionship in 2012 and bring home the gold, not for us oldtimers yacking on T about our glorydays but for yourselves. I am proud of The Mighty Pirates and the heart they displayed this year, as well as Vic and coaching staff the Pirates are truly lucky to have committed and outstanding coaching staff. Again congratulations to Wayne county good team class act...... PIRATES!!!!!!!
