Wayne Co. vs South Pitt

That game would bring in as much as $25,000 dollars @ the gate you do the math

You are mathematically challenged. At $5 ticket, it doesn't ad up. SP's stadium has a capacity of about 5000. If they sold out, it would gross $25,000. However, there are expenses that come out of that plus its a best case scenario. However, the number you are quoting came from the rumor that Rankin was trying to get Signal or SP to play them for that amount. If Rankin has a suitcase of money up there trying to fix games, that Childress man will ban him from coaching in the TSSAA. Speaking of rumors, you better run over to your board and see if Rankin is running off to Knox Catholic.

The true is that South Pitt had a chance to play teams like that(Alcoa)in the regular season and the head coach said q quote "WHY WOULD WE WANT ANY PART OF THAT MONSTER IF WE DON'T HAVE TO PLAY THEM?" ALCOA IS THE MONSTER HE IS TALKING ABOUT.

the qoute is from the Chattanooga Times Free Press Sunday June 19 2011 Vol 142, No. 187

READ IT FOR YOURSELF

South Pitt had a open date the same week Alcoa had a open date, Alcoa call South Pitt an the head coach said no.

On more time. I know you reading level is slow, so here goes. The open dates Alcoa had did not match SP's open dates. We ended up going up to GCA week 10 because they would play us on an away-home contract. They beat CAK who tagged Alcoa twice this year. GCA went 10-0 this year. They can say they did not lose a game in 2011.

Edit: Do you know what Milan, FCS and Dresden have in common? They are all playing for a 2a or 3a title and lost to a 1a team in the regular season. The irony, neither of those 1a teams are playing for a title. On top of that, 3a CAK lost to 2a GCA. :roflol:

South Pittsburg is a good 1A team that it. They could not win any other class championship or beat any other class runnerup.

You my friend are just plain special as in ED if you think that! SP just beat Gordonsville by 18 at their house and Gordonsville spanked Friendship who is about to put it on Dresdon...We also beat Boyd who should be playing for it all if they didn't get cheated in round 3....That is FACT...Do some research before speaking otherwise you just sound like you don't know how to read and your having someone type your post for you

Just a quote from the South Pitts Head Coach when ask by the Chattanooga Times Free Press why you want play Alcoa when you have a open date the same week Alcoa does.

Yep Special you are....Change your name to ED from now on....Einstein ED....

Together lets sound these out! Ower ske-duel wahz all readee ....Forget it....Hurry and go get someone to read this for you...Our schedule was already loaded and with the way playoff seeding goes we would've been foolish to play Alcoa.....With that said SP couldve beaten them this year...7 points either way...They were not up to par as usual...CAK owned them TWICE

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
