I think The Boski is getting to some of you posters from Greeneville :D

Talking does get some guys out of their game on the field or coacht. There is no more motivation needed for either team in this game other then being called a STATE CHAMPION.Talk is talk and I hope for the Greeneville team that they just stay off coacht and hear what that great coaching staff has to say this week.Every player for Greeneville just has to do their part and I think the score will end well for the Devils.

Thanks for the insights on the field turf. I don't think our guys wear detachable cleats, most use molded cleats, at least that is what my son wears and I don't recall seeing the equipment manager ever changing cleats even on wet muddy fields. I'll pass the word to the trainer to have a few more quick attach bandages handy for the burns & bleeding. Hope our receivers don't have trouble with their cuts, they are all pretty speedy and precise route runners.

This CAK Warrior is pulling for all the E.TN teams to bring back the championship, but I think Greeneville may be the biggest favorite of us all. I was thinking that honor may belong to Maryville, but after seeing what WH did to MJ, I think Maryville will be more tested than the Green Devils. I have been very impressed with the videos I have seen of Greeneville and it appears that you have first class facilities and support.

We do not have field turf at CAK and we have never played on it before. Since you guys play on it everyday, is there any thing that we should know about that? Any issues with standard cleats, etc....? Do you see more bleeding from elbows, etc on the turf? If so what do you suggest for our trainers to have prepared to get the players back on the field quickly?

Only difference is molded cleats are alot better. Detachables will have u slipping everywhere.

I'd say panthers have 80% chance ... Nothing much to worry about... All greeneville does is try to run off tackle ..from many different formations ...they not going to fool anyone over here with that ...they can and will be beat..i like this title game to hillsboro vs maryville a few years back... Defense stole the show!! And # 20 just needs a gap and miss and he is off... This should be a great game!!!

hey boski did you not get the memo the Greene Devils were 2010 State Champs ? whats with the avatar?

It's too bad the game against Covington was not televised so everyone could see what an embarassment your announcer was. Excuse me- I made a mistake calling him an announcer. There was no announcing, only trash talking. He made your school and program look small. I have never witnessed such antics and poor behavior by an adult at any football game.

DITTO YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT THE GAME LAST YEAR BETWEEN GREENEVILLE AND THE GREASY CHICKEN BOYS !

Well I have read every post thus far and it seems that there will be plenty of smack talk this week. I do not know much about Maplewood, other than to say that history says they are a darn good football team, that GHS had better respect them, work their tails off this week, as they always do and come ready to play 4 quarters saturday. Im as excited about this game as I have ever been for a HS football game. I dont know if my nerves or my heart can stand a nail biter, but if this game plays out as i suspect it might, I guess i better bring plenty of blood pressure meds saturday. Best of luck Greene Devils, we all love you, are proud of you and no matter the outcome saturday, you young men have made us all proud to call ourselves GREENE DEVILS. Take in everything coach B and staff tell you this week. prepare well and come out swinging saturday night and in my opinion, I beleive we will all return home once again Victorious..........GO BIG GREENE.....Does anyone know if MHS has a good kicker?

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
