I don't understand why people downgrade JC's 2nd place finish? I heard how unimpressive JC is and how much more impressive Summertown and Lake County where. If this is true, how come Summertown and Lake County finished 2nd in their region tournament? Jackson County had no problems beating Loretto and UC when it counted, how come Stown and LC couldn't? I do not think JC played a great tournament, but they were still able to beat the 2 region champions.

at the end of season UC was a lot better than Lake co. and JC beat them playing terrible, Clay co was best in tourney JC was second and summertowm third and Lake co and Loretta was about even for forth and fifth. Almost every year in recent years you hear all this great talk from Lake county but they exit early wnen they make it to state.

Sometimes the best team doesnt always win in a 1 game scenario.Lake Co had a great year .Had Lake Co played UC or Wartburg, they'd have been in the finals.Had T.T. not fouled out, which is part of the game.Lake Co wins.Believe Lake Co had a bout a 12 point lead at one time with T.T. on the floor.Lake Co couldn't play their run game and have T.T. attack with her in foul trouble.Still would have won had Shamon hit just 1 free throw where Lake Co would have had a matchup with a team that would have suited them very well. But also Lake Co had some things going on that a lot of people don't know and I wont comment about on this site.

UC needs to find themselves that one girl that can play point and be the leader...Someone they can count on to not turn the ball over and get the ball to the girls that can take over a game...Fair and Hudson...They need to get better fundamentally...It's all on how they work to get better in the off-season...They can either be satisfied with getting to The Boro or they can work to not only get back but to get another step closer to that Gold Ball...It's basically all on them...

They also need to get a shooter on that team. That's what got Union City beat against Jackson Co. Jackson Co. packed it in and let Union Ciy shoot from three.

And you think had this not happened and that not happened any team playing could have won, but on the floor Lake co just was not in the top 4 or 5 in this tourney. They had no chance agaist Clay co had they won opening game.

    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
