Henry Co. at Memphis Hamilton-1st round

Well, the curse of the defending 5A state champion lives on. For the 3rd consecutive season, the defending 5A state champions fall in the 1st round.

 

Congrats to Hamilton. They didn't get our best game, but they earned this one. Their defense was spectacular, particularly in the 1st half. Their defensive ends were incredible.

 

I hate it for our seniors to go out like this, but they've accomplished a lot in their time here, and they will get over this one and realize they had a truly great run at HC.

Congrats to Hamilton. Really thought we would win this one, but it wasn't meant to be tonight.

 

One of the few good things is, we got an 8-3 season out of a team comprised mostly of sophomores and juniors. We should be much better next year if everyone stays with it. We're going to miss the few seniors we did have, though. Storme is one of the better all around football players I can remember in Patriot red. Hope he and a couple of others get a chance to play at the next level.

Wow didnt see this coming ,but all good things come to an end at some point...must say the air must have been suffagating in Mempo to all out of region teams ..those coaches players are becoming are more attentive to details on both sides of the ball..

The future of football is the no-huddle offense. Teams that do a no-huddle offense normally has speed.

Teams that has size playing the spread offense better have depth on the D-Line, if they don't.......SPEED KILLS!!!!

As i said on page one you never take an opponent too lightly and in my opinion as i watched the game last night that is what happened, plus the fact that HC was not at full strength!! Too many injuries to advance this year but HC should have won this game.

Anything on Hamilton? I heard the got good defensive ends, what else?

QB is an accurate passer if he has time, also a good runner. They will spread you out with 4 wide and sometimes 5 and send them down field and then the QB will take off running. RB is small and did not do much against us. Decent size, quick to the ball. Good tacklers. Will put 7& 8 in the box on D but we are a run first team. Their starters play pretty much on both sides of the ball.

Thanks, what you just said fits perfect to North Side style of their football. Did they have a lot of bench players? how is Hamilton's band? North Side will wear Hamilton out, minute by minute.
