I was just thinking of Mnps schools that closed. Couldn't think of a high school but could think of a middle school. Run yes sometimes. The guy at fair view came from middle school and he has done well. The guy from jt Moore was offered Antioch job at one point. Are most ready, no. Maybe a couple are under the right circumstances.

How is this? He was the head football coach at a MNPS that closed its doors 10 years ago. He left and has been the head football coach at a nearby county school for the last 11 years. He was the head football coach of a District Championship Football Team in 2012.

 

CF? Wow! That would be an awesome hire for HLHS. If they land him look out!

Why would Finley want to leave Cheatham County Central for Hunters Lane? Outside of Overton supporting its band, there seems to be very little fan support among Metro schools.

 

The lack of support in Cheatham County speaks volumes over butts in the stands. The fans are good and the kids work their tails off for you. What you receive for your efforts as an educator and a coach are anything but good! I can tell you that from being up close and seeing it personally for years. He would be a tremendous loss to our football program but he deserves better than getting "dumped on". Hunters Lane would be very lucky to have him and they would be a contender once again in a very short amount of time.

Now a lot of people remember that he was the coach there in 2000. His run at CC has been a very good one. Playoffs 8/11 seasons with 1 trip to the quarters and 3 trips to the 2nd round. He is a very good one and anyone would be lucky to have him leading their football program.

yes he is very good and deserves much better than HL. they would be very lucky to get him. there are better jobs that will be available if not now but later and he would be better off to wait.
