I like going into this game as an under dog. We never play well in playoff games we are favored. I want the guys to play loose and full speed. I think Alcoa showed that Maryville can get beat. Having players go both ways is just hard to pull off. I believe Clark is going to have to try some new plays that Maryville wont be prepared for. After all they have the best staff in the state. Malik and Swafford will have to play mistake free football. Its going to take a lot of #6 and #8 to win this game. Look for #20 " Yo Adrian" to be a huge part of the defense this week. He's had a great season. Gilliam and Sensabaugh need to apply pressure quick and the linebackers need to stay home for the draw or screen. Maryville last game exposed our coverage behind the linebackers and in front of the safety. We've got to adjust or we wont be able to stop it. Score and stop. That's the plan. ROLL TRIBE

Aubrey's would be my choice if you want a mid range sit down meal. It is good food, nice atmosphere, plenty of seating, and close to the stadium. Tax dollars stay in Maryville...a lot of those other resturant are in Alcoa...lol.

Stadium opens at 4:30. It is rare that the visitor stands get completely full. If you all travel as well as I expect, there is plenty of good areas to stand.

Safe travels. Oh yeah....when you get to Knoxville, you need to travel about 15 more miles south.

MHS, the gates will actually not open till 5:00 or a few minutes before if they can get the ticket booth workers in place. But as you know there will be a line well before that so a 4:30 would be a good idea.

With athletes like Swafford and Foreman at the corners on D, why can DB not cover the pass any better than they do?

Foreman needs to be in shotgun and needs to run a lot to win this game, doesn't need to necessarily need to be called runs, can be passes where he scrambles and runs. Foreman reminds me of the Burton kid from White Station 3 years ago. Maryville will be keyed up on stopping #6 and #8, so #35 will need to have a big game.

Its not a athlete problem in the secondary. Its what their coached to do. Its been the same for 6 years now. Doesn't matter who we have back there. Every time we play a team with even a average quarterback, we get torched. We never even make a attempt to fix it. Will be more of the same Friday night.

Foreman and Swafford are not.the problem. We have two soph playing at the safety positions. #4 Holt has played good and is leading the team I think with Ints unless Foreman passed him lasr Friday. Howevet, Begley has struggled. He's a good player but its hard to ask a soph to cover some elite wide outs in the playoffs. But, he's trying. Actually I think Barger is the other safety but Begley is in when the offense rums multiple receivers. We need tight coverage with a lot of physical play. Were going to have to hit them in the mouth and get them thinking about it. I hope its a well officiated game and we can leave it up to the players. I've heard and seen some bad officials this year. What is going on with that? Not just one dimensional but both ways. Its suppose to get better at this point. Oh well, we will see. ROLL TRIBE

    • There are some potentials internal to the school system. Due to timing of this, that may be the route they go. If so, I'd say a few names would be, Brandon Eden, Kyle Gregory, or BJ West. Eden and Gregory have only been assistants at the HS level but may express interest. West has not been on the HS staff but has been HC of the Middle school that last few years and word on the street has been that he is highly interested. There may be others as well.    Going outside of the school system, a few names come to mind: Rennard Woodmore, Adam Keeton, and Josh Hackett. But I have no idea if any would interest.
    • A lot of people wanted him.
    • Sure, we can talk about it if you want to. Do you want to talk about zoning for Oak Ridge over the past 10 years with some kids from west? Lol. I don’t think so. I see your point, especially for a private school that stinks at football, but I’m just saying that you said the running back who is arguably one of the best transfers from TKA that West got is Zoned for West, and that’s just incorrect.
