Waterboy78
Been quiet awhile. Anyone know anything about DeKalb so far? How many players are out for practices? Any spring scrimmages? There are a few players I'm expecting to have a surprise year. Well no scrimmages in the spring , I hope that does not come back to bite us, however we have many new but very talented faces out there. Will know more about what we are looking like in a month or so!

TigerPride23
Also wondering if there's any news? Been too quiet. I'm ready for football to get here already. I'm very interested in how Jennings is doing practicing at qb. Anyone happen to know how he's progressing? Just a freshman but has so much potential. Also wonder how Milan is doing. Heard gill has been to lots of colleges to play days. Hope he tears it up defensively this year. Edited July 7, 2013 by TigerPride23

TigerPride23
Upperman is going to have to improve drastically on defense for them to have a good year. Decent to good teams expose it everytime.
UpperCumberlandMan
I agree. But the defense did looked improved verse a big and fast Cookeville team this spring.

Hey Pride - how about the receivers? No doubt York is the QB to keep the ball moving if he has receivers to catch the ball.
TigerPride23
I expect York to have a good year. I just question certain aspects of the team. Defenses overall team speed, (can they contain the edge as well as the deep ball?) Line backing core, (can they stop a good run game?) Like I said I expect a better than usual year, but with all due respect I'll wait until I see more to decide if they are solid this year. I will say the mentioned scrimmage was a good start for them. How are they at rb this year? Anything to take some pressure off that passing game? Just curious. Also, after 7 on 7's does anyone know how it went for DC? I don't expect too much honestly. We were decimated passing wise this year. On the plus side Milan looks to be the best back in a long time if he can get the plays down. This will be his second year and I expect him to be the work horse.
TigerPride23
Well I heard we lost to Brentwood then the next day we went 3-1. All the information I've pieced together so far. Also that Jennings got all tournament. That's great. A lot of people I know (including me) had a feeling watching him his 8th grade year last year. I know it's a transition from middle to high school, but the kids smart and can flat out play.
