we know we know Jasper is the only place heavy weights are being thrown around. Please start a thread about Jasper weight lifting so I can go on it and marvel at all the purple hulks.

You will marvel soon enough!!! BTW, I never said we were the only one's lifting heavy weights... But I've heard through Roy's contact at the Red Eye that May not be the case everywhere in the county. Recon we'll see in a few months.

If we don't get Tim Moore who is a friend of Whit Taylor I see Allen Pratt moving back and taking over the head coaching job. That way he want have to be the principal with all the headaches plus he will be back home with his family. Thought I'd throw that into the mix since we've heard everything else!!!!I bet Roy will have a coronary after reading this!!!

Marvel at this and I don't care who you've been listening to. The last game of the regular season Jasper will lose again. Jasper doesn't have the speed, talent, or experience yet. So while you're trying to come up with a snappy comeback for that why don't you go to willies and drawn your sorrows. I may be the only Pirate with the guts to say it but so be it.

Old Pirate says the Pirates are jest fine and the coaching experience on the coaching staff gives the youngons everything they need to be successful. Unlike them Jasper fellers who have been earholed for so long their season would be successful if they could just win the last regular season feud. Cousin Billy tells OP theys focused on beating us southern kin.

I heard a couple of those jasper interior linemen can bench press a Cadillac engine with the Cadillac still attached with Roy and OP in the front seat eating a box of fudge rounds and drinking a 6-pac of Red Bulls.

I put my money on Moore. But I'm pretty sure Pratt is not in the mix.

      A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.

      For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!

      They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
