kwc
KWC; you are so right. One of two things happened with the bid. Whoever got the bid was by far the lowest; because they didn't know how to do things right , or got bid and realized they couldn't do it for bid price and cut corners. Somebody didn't do their home work on the construction company that built the stadium and field and / or the construction company didn't know how to do it right. Either way it is sad for Lebanon High School and the football team. Why wouldn't the school board or whoever selected the construction company go back to them and make them fix it right. Should not cost LHS one more penny. Should be a guarantee on the work. It's been my experience when working with contractors under those conditions (underbid) it's just easier to cut your losses rather then try to squeeze bl0od from a turnip. In situations like this (underbid) the company usually files bankruptcy to get out from under the debt. Edited July 7, 2014 by kwc
confuciuschang
confucius say...if they wanted to know how to build a proper football stadium, they should have made the 15 mile drive down 141 and checked out The Creekbank!!!

GWAVE1
Gallatin has a 7-7 scheduled for tomorrow against Smyrna at 5:30.[/ Results? Not sure of actual results but the Bulldogs have some speed and both quarterbacks I heard looked good.
BKisler
Wave, who does Gallatin have next in 7 on 7? MJ goes to McGavock Tuesday. New O is coming along. Glad there are several more weeks to keep improving on the spread. Looking forward to scrimmages in Aug.

Glad there are several more weeks to keep improving on the spread. Looking forward to scrimmages in Aug. Not sure. They had Westmoreland today after having MTCA, Shelbyville and Smyrna on Tuesday. I am hearing they are looking better after a rough first outing. They need more reps and timing. That is what this is for. Learn and get used to each other. Once the linemen and contact comes into play it changes everything.

Once the linemen and contact comes into play it changes everything. I laugh when I hear others say that 7 on 7 is a waste of time. The reps for the QB and receivers, route running, and building team chemistry is invaluable. Not to mention the work the defense gets in their coverages. GWAVE1
Thought it would be interesting to see just who has had the best 5 and 10 years in terms of wins. Since people generally pick preseason polls based on tradition lets just see how the teams stack up over the recent past. Granted teams were in different districts and had different opponents. Just play along. Last 5 years: 1 Beech 50 wins 2 Mt Juliet 47 wins 3 Hendersonville 42 wins 4 Gallatin 37 wins 5 Station Camp 24 wins 6 Wilson Central 21 wins 7 Lebanon 13 wins 8 Portland 6 wins Actually thought Hendersonville would have been higher due to 2 final appearances. Last 10 years: 1 Beech with 81 wins 2 Mt Juliet 79 wins 3 Gallatin 75 wins 4 Hendersonville 70 wins 5 Station Camp 59 wins 6 Wilson Central 57 wins 7 Lebanon 42 wins 8 Portland 26 wins Winning seasons over last 10 years: Gallatin and Beech are tied with 8, Mt Juliet 7, Wilson Central 6, Hendersonville 5, Station Camp 4, Lebanon and Portland 2. Okay regular seasons for Hville but In the 3 playoff runs in the past 5 years we were 7-3 in 2010 in the regular season and reached the finals beating Gallatin, Henry Co. And Ridgeway on the road and NE at home, 6-4 in 2011 in the regular season and reached the semis beating Gallatin on the road and Springfield and Beech at home, and last year 7-3 in the regular season beating Arlington, SC, and Indy on the road and White Station at home. 11-3 in those 3 years in the playoffs with 7 road wins. Excellent coaching staff who gets the most out of the kids (combined 79 years tenure at HHS), great support from the administration and fans (at the 4 playoffs games last year before the finals we had the bigger crowd) and most importantly kids who are coachable.
